Question

Protection of input pins - how much is tolerable on a pin - What about my circuit?

Hi,

i made up this circuit, to protect the input of the MCU. The switches pull to GND with 0 Ohm to 22kOhm, and this is also where the ESD would come in. The output_line also goes to a MCU input, and its the one i am not sure, if its protection is enough (current of R8 - D2 is representing the protection diode of the MCU). Is there something i can improve, or might there be an issue, i am not aware of?

Its made with LTSpice.

ESD limits for pins are specified in the datasheet.

If you need more than that, use an ESD protection diode to raise the protection level.
