ST link is not detected on windows 7

i am using windows 7 os and i have installed stm32cube(1.4) ide and i tried to flash the software to the discovery board but it is not flashed since it has been showing "ST link not detected!please connect ST-Link and restart the program".even i didn't find any device under stlink utility I am not sure what to do .so anyone in the forum kindly help me to get rid of this issue.

    Hello @VPuvv.1​ ,

    Welcome to the STM32 Community :)

    Check the jumpers, USB device access rights, and the cables used. Try different cables, USB ports.

    Try to upgrade the ST-Link firmware version (go to ST-LINK>firmware update) or through STSW-LINK009.

    This happened to me today. If your ST-Link worked before, just Reset the PC!!
