On which STM32CubeIDE release are you relying on ? Sounds was known issue if 1.1.0 on MacOS release but works for me if 1.2.0.

it's the latest and greatest 1.2.0 but it does not work for me,

Are you doing brand new fresh install or product update ?​

Just downloaded again the .dmg and it worked fine on Catalina (latest update).

Could you share more about your OS version, the dmg source location (st.com?) and its version?
