STLINK-V3MINI USB hotplug

Hi

Setup:

Destination µC running and connected with STLINK-V3MINI. When I plug the USB cable, the destination µC gets reset.

With ST-LINK/V2 this doesn't occur.

Schematics for the STLINK-V3MINI aren’t available so it's hard to debug.

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

    I see the same behavior. NRST goes low for ~250ms 1.4ms. Surely it's being driven low by the firmware.

    Power it first, then plug in the connector.

    I use the ST-Link as debug interface – in combination with tools like STMStudio or some Python scripts (pyelfwrapper). The ST-Link is integrated in the housing and fix connected to destination  µC.

    If a problems occurs I want to plug in the USB cable and do some analysis with STMStudio. But with the reset all information is lost.

    @ST Engineers:

    If this is really done by firmware, please change this behavior. Thanks

    We will use a "hardware" solution here using pin 22 (5V power from USB). The reset signal is only valid if pin 22 is high.
