STM32f446re Altium

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project involving the STM32F446RE as the main microcontroller. It’s my first time using Altium Designer, and I’ve been searching for the footprints and schematic symbols for the components I need.

While I’ve found a symbol for the STM32F446RE, it only includes the GPIO pins and doesn’t seem to include the necessary power supply connections (VDD, VSS, VDDA, VSSA, etc.).

I’ve also looked for libraries on SnapEDA and UltraLibrarian, but none of the available symbols include the power connections.

I’m having trouble understanding how to correctly configure the power pins for the STM32F446RE in my Altium schematic. I’ve attached the official reference schematic I found on the STMicroelectronics website, which might be helpful for others as well.

Could someone please guide me on:

  1. How to handle the power supply connections in Altium for the STM32F446RE?
  2. Whether I need to create a custom symbol or if there’s a pre-made one available that includes power and GPIOs?
  3. Any additional recommendations for capacitors or design tips for stable power?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Attachment: Reference schematic from STMicroelectronics (official document).

    Hi,

You can use the symbol from MB1136 C04 schematic but just modify the symbol to STM32F446RE.

Pls check the figure in attachment. You need to remove the signal names under red lines. Be careful Pin47 is VSS.
