Studying materials about hardware in the loop

I am using STM32F429 for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation. The emulator is OPAL-RT. However, I did not find any relevant information about HIL in ST community. Can anyone share some information or where can I find the information? Sincere thanks.
