Why does my my new ST LINK V3 Set not lgiht up in LED?

The other i have lights up and connects nice to PC.

Is there a schematic for finding the fault, or some way to re-load the firmware?

Try a different cable, not a charging cable.

Try a different port, avoiding hubs or docking stations.

Try a different PC

No schematic, but might look at NUCLEO-H743ZI2 or H747I-DISCO using an ST-LINK/V3

I have 2 ST-Link - in total same setup, same cable etc. 1 is working and enumerates the disk drive and lights led LED - The other is dead.

Both was complete news from the box. the only difference is the first broken was connectes to the target, this eval board, with a 20pin ribbon cable from an old ULINK2... i suppose that would fit... Yet i havent tried number 2 STlink on the eval board...
