End of Support For HAL software

Does ST publish any maintenance plans, commitments or End of Support timelines for HAL software libraries?

My experience is that the software will continue to function in the same way as it was delivered.

Any software you build will continue to compile indefinitely on the build system you have chosen and maintained.

Having built many things using the earlier SPL you have a choice, you can continue using that, or decide if it's worth refactoring the code to work with the new paradigm, with all the issues, testing and bugs that brings with it.

Do not base your decisions on the commitments and promises of third-parties who have entirely different priorities and business strategies.
