How do we know which bootloader version is in the STM32F429 we buy? We need V9.x for the SPI bootloader.

How do we know which bootloader version is in the STM32F429 we buy? The AN2606 states there are two versions (V7.x and V9.x). We need V9.x because only this version has the SPI bootloader. We don't want to order the MCU and get V7.x.

You can show the bootloader version using STM32CubeProgrammer.

To be ensure that the bootloader version used are V9.1 please follow these steps:

- Connect the board to STM32Cubeprogrammer

- Read one byte from the address given 0x1FFF76DE, as mentioned in the AN2606 (Table 3. Embedded bootloaders)

- The first bytes must have value 0x91
