Possible to receive HDMI audio output using SPDIF RX?

Hello,

I am trying to convert HDMI ARC audio to I2S using STM32H7 series.

AFAIK, ARC uses IEC 60958 SPDIF standard, which STM32 SPDIF-RX accepts.

Is this implementation possible?

Connection would be like

HDMI ARC(HEAC+) -> Inverter -> STM32H7
