STEVAL-IME013V1 doesn't connect to Ultrasound Pulser Waveform Demo (STSW-IME011, Error code 2)

I have a STEVAL-IME013V1 Evaluation board (STM32 + STHV800) and want to program arbitrary pulse trains with the "Ultrasound Pulser Waveform Demo" (STSW-IME011) with Win10.

• I connect the board via USB.
• I press USR button (LED5 blinks orange) on the board and F5 in the Demo Program
• I get the Error: Connection failed! Unable to retrieve the device type.
• If I select the correct IC (STHV800) then I get Error Code 2
• Reset RST doesn't help
• Changing the baud rate doesn't help
• Adding +5 V/-5 V doesn't help

Do you have any idea what to do?

I tried it on an old Windows 7 Computer and it worked.

It seems to be a driver problem.

Hi,

I had the same issue and managed to get it working on Win10 by doing:

"Communication" > " Configuration" (F4) > Uncheck "Auto Discovery Board" > Connect manually (F5)
