Hi,

I just bought STM32H735G-DK and USB is not working out of the box.

I have put jumper on STLK but device is not getting detected on PC(LD6 red/green dim lit).

There are no new devices in device manager when plugged in.

Board is running original program just fine, power on and all.

Am I missing something? Is there something I can do?

Best regards

Next time test the cable with some known working board.

Check that you use the right usb connector. Check cable, check usb port. Check that you did not keep the stlink under reset by some jumper.

    Tried two PC-s.

Connector is cn15. Tried 3 cables no luck.

    Jp3 is open.

only JP1 and STLK jumper are closed.

    > LD6 red/green dim lit

What does this mean? They're both lit (so yellow?) but only dimly?

They are lit but like being lit with pull-up/pull-down resistor so you can barely see that it is lit

Start measuring the voltages at the different jumpers in the supply path. Expect e.g. a broken or cold solder USB connector pin.

Thank you guys it looks like the cable was bad or only for powering devices.

    4th cable worked. incredible

If you have 3 bad USB cables it may be time to reevaluate purchasing decisions.

Usually I make my own PCBs and use JLink for debuging/programing.

I bought this one to learn a little bit about ST, because I use NXP, Freescale, Atmel but want to switch to ST because they have enough memory embedded.

I meant more on the USB cable side. If I get 3 of something and none of them work, I would not be happy. Didn't mean anything else by it.
