Foo driver in Interrupt overview

What is FOO driver in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Interrupt_overview Interrupts overview should we have mention in our device tree files please explain me for better understanding I am a beginner. My goal is to fix few GPIOs as interrupts. How can write a program generating interrupts ?
