ST Link port on DK2 board not working

I'm trying to connect to my DK2 from STM32CubeIDE but the ST LInk port doesn't seem to work. In Device Manager I see "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I tried several cables and ports on my PC.

I should mention that I'm running a minimal Ubuntu but used the kernel from the ST build process, I just swapped out the rootfs with the Ubuntu version.

When I switch back to the stock SD card image the port shows up as VID/PID 0x1D6B/0x0104 but I can't install any drivers for it.

How does whatever I program into the SD card affect how the ST Link USB port shows up?

Thanks,

ANdrew

Never mind - I had the wrong port! I thought the DFU port was used for ST-Link when the DIP switches were the other way. It works now with the micro-USB connector.
