Can't boot the EMMC with a USB on the STM32MP257F-EV1

Hello,

I am trying to boot an EMMC with a USB on a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and am having troubles. I set the boot pins to what is said in the data sheet for EMMC (That being Boot2 is set to 1 and the rest 0) The USB is no longer an option to connect to. (For reference I am trying to follow this wiki article: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu but only using the EMMC instead of the SD Card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Erwan,

I figured out that most my problems stemmed from supplying power from the ST link and not through the Jack.

Thanks.

Hello @Carson ,
Can you follow this article and tell me back if you still have troubles ? https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP25_Evaluation_boards_-_Starter_Package

Do not forget to connect the USB_DRD to your host PC, to verify that your CubeProgrammer is the right version (2.17) and to take the eMMC flashlayout instead of the default SDcard one.

Kind regards,
Erwan.
