mx not launched with prerelease

the release version 2.1.1 launches just fine and i have the paths set for mx and finder.

pre release 3.4.11 does not launch from key actions

"I already have that set ... still does not work" .. any special char in use ? Not main disk in use ? ... looking for common root source which may lead to issue ...
