STM32Cube for VSCODE - where does STM32CubeCLT go?

Platform: macOS 11.7.10 (BigSur)

I wanted to try out the recently announced STM32Cube plugin for VSCODE. Did so but from my understanding I have to install/configure STM32CubeCLT within VSCODE. Not knowing whether I had installed it with STM32CubeIDE already I downloaded the package (again?). After the installation had run  successfully I went into VSCODE to configure STM32CubeCLT.

An installation directory has to be specified. I have no idea, where this directory can be found. Can anyone help?

I would advise you to embrace new STM32 VScode proposal ... CLT is kind of phasing out see:

    1) how to get alive initiative https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cube-for-visual-studio-code/new-stm32cube-for-visual-studio-code-extenstion-released-3-5-1/td-p/819484

    2) CLT phase out (if considering VSCode usage) https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cube-for-visual-studio-code/support-sharing-toolchains-between-stm32cube-for-vs-code-and/td-p/834619
