If you've paid for an IAR licence, why not just use the IAR IDE?

Anyhow, if you go to Window > Preferences, there is 'Toolchain Manager':

Hi andrew ,

Thanks for your reply

I believe the Tool Manager can't be used with the IAR compiler because it is designed for GNU-style compilers that have standard command-line interfaces. Could you please confirm if this understanding is correct?

I don't know.

If I had to use the IAR compiler, I would just use it from IAR's IDE.

IAR toolchain can be used with VS Code. Their support will be happy to point you to the documentation.
