Hello all,

I can't download the STM32CubeIDE even as I am registered. There seems to be somthing broken with the Web page. I have tried several browsers. This is what I get, so there is no download button and the table is garbled:

    Hi AScha,

thanks for the help. It seems to be that you were right. I disabled all add-ons in my browser. I even tried to re-register which probably confused the system even more since the confirmation links where all invalid. Then suddenly the download started as if magically :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

    Best regards

make sure, no ad-blocker or something like this is blocking access.

    Hi,

I have found this topic in search for the solution of the very same issue.

However, despite I made sure I do not use any blockers or anything (I have no ad-blockers and I have disabled all privacy and anti-tracking plugins as well), I still can't download stm32cubeide.

In my case, I can see download buttons and I can click them, but regardless of I me being logged in, I always get the License agreement page, where i press 'Accept' and then I am redirected to login/register page, where I click login.

But instead of download starting, i get to the same download page and I can clearly see, I am logged in in the upper right corner.

    This cycle can go indefinitely.

I have tested two different computers and Chrome and Firefox browsers.

    Can you help me, please?

    Best regards,

    Radek Stastny

    Hi again,

I have found, that when you fill in "new registration" after the 'Accept', then you get an email, which contains a link, that takes you to the download page again and now the download worked.

But it is definitely strange behavior. Logged in (suggested way) doesn't work, getting link via email works.

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Same problem here.

The ST download site is down.

This page seems to offer the ability to download the STM32CubeIDE software.

    https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html

when I click on the "Download latest" button for the Windows version, I get a license agreement pop-up window. When I click on the "Accept" button, the pop-up window goes away, and then I'm simply back to where I was before. No new page appears and no actual download link is presented.  I know it used to work, as I have used this before.

Update: using a different browser, different login and different computer (Linux) I did get the download to start. So this could be some new company IT rule preventing downloads to my work laptop.

I have not been able to download STM32CubeIDE for two days, tried with stock Chrome and stock Edge on Windows 11.

You need to fixed the website, it has always been extremely slow to load the downloads page, often it never loads. Now it loads but the download simply does not start. Why do we even need to log in? Just have a direct download link so new users can simply start developing.

I have finally managed to download it by downloading on my Android phone, connecting to my computer and copying over the install file (!!)

It sounds like you've experienced significant frustration trying to download STM32CubeIDE. The slow loading times and the requirement to log in before downloading can certainly add unnecessary complexity to the process, especially for new users eager to start development.

I would suggest providing this feedback directly to STM's support team if you haven't already, as they might be able to address the issue on their end or suggest a quicker workaround. Having direct download links without login, as you mentioned, would be a more user-friendly approach, especially in situations like yours.

It's great that you managed to download the file via your Android phone, but this workaround shouldn't be necessary. Hopefully, STM will streamline the process soon for smoother access to development tools. You might also find some helpful tips or alternatives with tools like injector 2024.

I've never seen in my whole life a website that struggle to generate a download link so much

This is catastrophic for a company like this

This is still broken.....  After trying a couple different browsers the 4th or 5th attempt in firefox it suddenly worked.  Very disappointing that something as simple as downloading a file is not working on STs website correctly.  And it takes several minutes to load the download sections.

Yes, same situation on 10/11/24. ST does not seem interested in fixing it,

but vigorously prevents STM32CubeIDE-Win from being available at other download places.

I have a new computer, Win11 right out of the box, and are using Chrome 129.0.6668.100.

But I have a solution: Try using Edge instead, and it finally works !

    ST doesn't like Chrome.

I was in need of quick download and setup STM32CubeIDE to provide support to one of my old customers. And guess what? Download doesn't work for me either. Spent several hours of my precious time trying different browsers, PCs, on Windows, Linux, even Android, as registered user and as a guest, directly and via VPN. Nope. Always the same result - after requesting download, the download does not start and the browser returns to the download page. No error message, nothing. This seems to be a problem of the server, not the client side.
ST, shame on you for this problem being persistent so long time. I'm now considering to tell my customers not to choose ST anymore.
