Cant import a project into a workspace

STM32CubeIDE 1.17.0, Win 11 x64

I have a number of related projects in the space workspace (WS). I can copy & paste them into the same WS with no problem within CubeIDE. New project folders are created within the WS directory & show up in the Project Manager list. All these project folders exist within the WS directory.

When I import a project from outside the WS using Open Projects from File System... they import fine & show up in the Project Manager list.

BUT when I try to cut & paste a project folder from outside of the WS directory into the WS directory via Windows Explorer & then try an add it to the Project Manager list in CubeIDE via Open Projects from File System... I get nothing, no import error messages, nothing. The project file doesn't appear in the Project Manager list, nothing!

Anyone know why this is?

Correct way is: File... Import... Existing project into Workspace.
