Rather than update, have you tried just doing a from-scratch install of the new version?

It is fine to have multiple versions installed at the same time, provided that you:

  1. Install each into a separate folder;
  2. Use a separate workspace (or workspaces) for each

PS:

It also has the advantage that, if you encounter some problem/incompatibility with the new version, you still have the old version where you can continue working ...

This is why I never upgrade - always install the new one from scratch.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Thanks.

Hi Mahmoud,

I thought  I replier but I do not see it in the thread.

The About says I am using Version: 2.0.0

The update is trying to go to  2.1.1

PS - I am using Windows 10.

Hello @BrucePB

I reproduced the test and the STM32CubeIDE update was successful.

I recommend that you delete the cache folders [.stm32cubeide, .stm32cubemx, .stm32cubefinder] under this path:

C:\Users\, set the network connection and relaunch the update process.

Thanks.

Mahmoud
