GDB Server Launch Failure on NUCLEO-H755ZITx in STM32CubeIDE

Dear ST Support Team,

I am currently working with STM32CubeIDE and using the NUCLEO-H755ZITx development board. On one of the boards, I am consistently encountering the following error during debugging:

'filename_Debug' has encountered a problem. Error in final launch sequence. Failed to start GDB server.

I have attached a screenshot of the error for your reference.

This issue is blocking my development progress, and I would appreciate it if you could help me understand the root cause and suggest a resolution at the earliest.

For better clarity, let me share an example from our recent test. We attempted a simple LED blinking project using the STM32CubeIDE with the NUCLEO-H755ZITx board (Just to check the normality). After generating the code, I successfully upgraded the ST-LINK firmware (screenshot attached).

However, when I try to run or debug the code, I consistently encounter the following error:

'filename_Debug' has encountered a problem. Error in final launch sequence. Failed to start GDB server.

This is the same issue I mentioned in my previous email, and I’ve attached the relevant screenshot there.

Please let me know if you need any specific logs, configuration files, or further details to assist with your investigation.

I would appreciate your response as soon as possible, as this is blocking our development.

Hello @Prathiksha ,

 

As discussed through the Chat, the issue is related to the dysfunctionality of your board and not to the STM32CubeIDE because you are able to debug other boards  NUCLEO-H755ZITx with the same settings.
