Question

On linux (IDE 1.18.1) Targeted Project Type "STM32Cube" is greyed out

Hello,

A few days ago I installed stm32cubeide on linux mint and successfully created a test project with STM32Cube.

Today, if I try to create one, I can only Targeted Project Type : Empty, as STM32Cube is greyed.

Why?

Hello @MFran.4

First let me thank you for posting.

Let's try uninstalling STM32CubeIDE from your PC and then reinstalling it. Please make sure to use the latest version, STM32CubeIDE 1.19.0.

Hello

This seems to have resolved the issue for now: I can create new projects with STM32Cube selected, but I'd like to confirm it tomorrow to be sure it still works, as the problem popped up the day after the IDE worked correctly.

STM32 IDE 1.19.0 still has this problem, at least for me.

Hello @eduardo_reis

Try to delete the STM32CubeIDE cache folder (.stm32cubeide) then retest  by launching  STM32CubeIDE again and choose a new workspace , if the issue still there try to delete the .metadata

I will be waiting for your feedback.

In my case, cache and IDE version had nothing to do with the problem. So solve it I clicked on

Go to Help → Configuration Tool → Manage Embedded Software Packages and downloaded the MCU package for the series I am working with.
