ST-LINK Firmware Upgrade Fails in STM32CubeIDE (V1.15.0/V1.15.1?) - "ST-LINK is not in the DFU mode

Hi everyone,

I'm encountering a critical issue when attempting to debug/flash my STM32 microcontroller using my ST-LINK debugger in STM32CubeIDE.

The Initial Error: When I start a debug session, I receive the pop-up: ST-LINK firmware upgrade required. Please upgrade the ST-LINK firmware using the upgrade tool.

can you please insert a good photo of your ST-LINK, in case of an ST-LINK/V2 also from the back?

What happen if you click on "Open in update mode"?

this turns teh ST-link into to the right mode.
