STM32CubeIDE IOC Interface Unusable with STM32N6

I started a project based on the STM32N657X0H3Q.  The .IOC file gets generated.  I was trying to search for various pins.  I typed in "PA0" . . . all OK . . . continued with other PAX pins.  After a while, the user interface became more and more sluggish, until finally I had to kill the IDE and start over.  This behavior is repeatable.  Anyone else experiencing something similar?  I am using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.17.0, Build: 23558_20241125_2245 (UTC).

Any help is appreciated. I see great promise for the STM32N6 . . .

Continues to happen.
STM32CubeIDE eventually freezes completely.
When I look at task with task manager . . . it is using 75% of available memory.
