STM32CubeIDE with Motion FX library hardware definition

I would like to use the MotionFX Library with a STM32F401 and an ISM330BX IMU.  I am using STM32CubeIDE and have included the MotionFX software pack.  I cannot figure out how to define which ports I have connected to the IMU.  (For example, I have the SPI3 bus connected to the IMU.)  Where is this sort of hardware information defined?  I read the user manual UM2220 but it did not answer my question.  Any help would be appreciated.
