Hello,I am attempting to add CAN communication to one of my co-worker's boards, who is using the STM32F303RE MCU with an external 30 MHz crystal oscillator. The CAN communication uses the APB1 Peripheral Clock, which is currently using 30 MHz as well. When I attempt to make a specific baud rate (250 kBit/s), I used http://www.bittiming.can-wiki.info/ to get the parameters to achieve that. When I put the values in, it shows the baud rate in a greyed out section that says it's 249.999 kBit/s.What I want to know is if that will cause issues when actually applied? Since it's not "exactly" 250 kBit/s. Has anyone else had this occur and can say whether it works or not?

Creating the project with CubeMX for the STM32H743i_EVAL board and allowing it to generate the Initializing function and call for the SDMMC1 (or 2 for that matter), generates initialization code that attempts to power up the card without checking to see if there is a card present. Obvious failure waiting to happen. And even if there is a card present, the power On function is doomed to fail because the code never exectues the SD_MspInit wich enables all the io for communicating with the card. I am curious to know why that code is not present in the GPIO initialization functions? If that is not bad enough, it gets worse when the BSP code for SD is added to the project, it causes all sorts of compiler errors because of duplicate definitions.

Reason for the question:We want to generate two different hardware settings (CubeMX projects) into one software program running on a STM32 controller. Then at startup, the controller finds out, which HW configuration it has to use and uses just one of the two available ones to startup/init the system peripherals/hardware.Thanks for any help.

Hi,I've just tried to set up TIM2 on an STM32G0B1RE in CubeMX like this:The exact purpose shouldn't matter for this question, but the timer is supposed to generate an interrupt when a LOW pulse of a given minimum length is detected on an external signal, entirely in hardware. I already have a plan for how to do that.The problem is that with this configuration, the ETR pin (for the gate input signal) actually seems to become an output! After some head scratching, I found that this only happens if I use specifically Channel 1 for Output Compare. I assume that's because ETR1 and CH1 are somehow connected internally and can't be freely used at the same time. It just surprises me that this matters even in "No Output" mode, and CubeMX did not stop me from configuring it this way. It DOES stop me from using "Output Compare CH1", the tooltip of which is so far the only indication that ETR1 and CH1 might be related that I could find. I'm working on a project using a STM32H747XIHx dual core processor.  I believe I have the latest STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX tools.  How do I configure CubeMX to generate GPIO initialization code for my I/O signals?

STM32CubeMX version 6.7.0​CubeMX initializes USART1 peripheral on NUCLEO-C031C6 by default.But USART2 is actually connected to ST-LINK VCP wire.

The usb fs works fine for me, but when I try the usb hs, it gives me error_handler(). I don't know how I have to put it to make it work.My configuration:I use stm32cubeide.I don't know if my configuration is correct respect to pull up and pull down, I think that yes, but it doesn't work.Thank you

 If I include mx_chip wifi driver in my own project it never compiles. I am doing everything they are doing in Nx_TCP_Echo_Client example project. Now gave up on this. What dees "Check that this file is included by the driver source and not compiled directly" mean.Kindly help.

Hello , I am using STM Cube IDE for I2S communication between NUCLEO-F401RE and CUI MEMS microphone namely CMM-4030DT-26354-TR . I am current facing a problem to set a clock frequency for SCL pin of Nucleo board. The SCL clock frequency range for Microphone is between 1 - 3.2 Mhz. In the STMCubeIDE , I am not able to decrease the value of Multiplier (N) less than 100 of PLL and increase the value of prescaler(R) more than 7 .I am totally baffled for the configuration of I2C SCL frequency. Even I used HSE(External Oscillator of 8Mhz ) , I got the same problem. I don't get SCL frequency less than 14.28Mhz(for N = 10 and R = 7). The frequency I want is 1 Mhz for effective communication with Slave. In a nutshell, I am unable to set the desired SCL frequency of 1Mhz for MEMS Microphone for STM32F401RE-Nucleo Board.

This is really a basic question, but nevertheless I haven't found an answer.I am confused primarily about visualization of PB8 and PG10 pins inside CubeIDE MX.When I create new project I would expect PB8 and PG10 looking "yellow" and also being defined as PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST (second picture from web). The problem is that they don't look yellow, but grey (first picture from my new project). I also can't choose BOOT0 or NRST function for those pins.Am i wrong, if I assume that because they are grey, they are in their reset state and their reset state is: PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST. Therefore there will not be any functional problem, as I want to have PB8-BOOT0 and PG10-NRST functionality. And the color mismatch is just some MX bug/new feature?

I can set breakpoint to the main core functionIf I place a breakpoint into the main function, the debug stop on this breakpoint and I can resume the debug...BUT as soon as the osKernelStart() is called, If I click on "Suspend" to make a pause, all is ok, the soft stop on the "IDLE" task, I can resume (F8) debug step by step (F6) etc...Now, I try to place a breakpoint into a function called from a created task (GpioTask in my case). Hello everyone and hope you all are doing well.I've been using STM32WB55 microcontroller with IKS01A3 expansion board for my latest project and while setting it up with shipped example project and ST Sensor App went flawlessly I ran in some weird errors while I was trying to start my new project from CubeMX configuration file. Compared to the default configuration of .IOC I included Vbat and Vref from ADC1, used auto resolver to resolve all the clock issues and then generated code. First I was met with error in file app_entry.c where on line:config_param.DeviceID = (uint16_t)DeviceID;config_param didn't have member named 'DeviceID'.I went to the config_param definition and added (uint16_t)DeviceID declaration inside of config_param and that fixed the problem but all the other errors were related to macros and I'm not sure why they are here and should I just start fixing them or is there a deeper configuration problem with my project?Macros in question are:#define CFG_BLE_LS_SOURCE #def

Hi, I am trying to use SDIO with DMA and TIM1 PWM with DMA on STM32F407VETx.After generating code with STM32CubeMX v6.6.1 I get these settings:with these settings SDIO with DMA works, but TIM1 PWM with DMA fails.After an update generating code with STM32CubeMX v6.7.0 I get these settings:with these settings TIM1 PWM with DMA starts working, but SDIO with DMA fstarts failing.How do I make both DMA work? What IRAM1/IRAM2 do I need to set?

STM32 community,I am the junior graduate electronics engineer who is taking over an important R&D project and need advice on ensuring the functionality of an existing circuit that is crucial for our company. Unfortunately, the lead engineer who developed the firmware for this circuit has departed as part of a dispute, leaving us without access to the source code. We do have access to the electronic design files such as schematics and board layouts.The device is using a STM32F103RCT6 mcu and I was not involved in the original development process, but am now being thrown into the cold here :\We already have other PCBs built but do not have the firmware loaded on these. I am developing a STM32 project with STM32G030K6T6 ADC channels but when I start setting the MCU, it allows only 8 ADC convertions (the datasheet describes there are 12 and the system configuration allows to add up to 12 channels) . However, I need all the 12 channels. How can I use them?

Hi,I have a project with an IOC configuring an STM32H733. In the IOC I configured the SPI6 in Full-Duplex Master. I also configured the BDMA channel 0 to serve requests of SPI6_TX. The project is pretty old and when I configured it like this I only enabled the BDMA channel 0 global interrupt (I did not really need to enable SPI6 global interrupt). Recently I wanted to make modifications to my IOC and I had to migrate the project to the STM32CubeMX V6.7.0 with STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.11.0. With this migration now it seems that the STM32CubeMX forces the SPI6 global interrupt to be enabled and I cannot disable it (it is grayed out). After some testing, I figured that this automatic force is caused by enabling BDMA for this SPI. I tried to find an answer without success in the release notes of the STM32CubeMX. I would like to know why the new version of IOC now forces the SPI6 global interrupt to be enabled. Can someone help me and shed some light on this? Thank you!

Using CubeMX to create a new project on the STM32L0X0 series. I need two UARTS, which this part offers. However, in CubeMX, when I try to enable the SWD, it creates a conflict is the SYS tab for "System Wake-Up 3". When I roll over this, it says it conflicts with "USART2: Asynchronous Mode" . I'm not sure what System Wake-Up 3 is; I don't see any reference to multiple instances of wake-ups in the reference manual. I also don't see a GPIO conflict; the SWD interface only uses PA13 and PA14 which nothing else needs. What am I missing?

I am using stm32l4r board to run some tests and i am generating my code with stm32cubemx, I am having an issue with the octospi parameters after investing with my colleagues and checking the documents we discovered it is a problem related to the delay block but i did not know how to fix it
