Help Needed: Cube Programmer Crashing and Desktop Icon Issue on Fedora 41

The desktop entry icon is not showing, and the Cube Programmer crashes as soon as it is launched on Fedora 41. It works fine on Fedora 40. Note: sometimes it works, and I ran some tests which were fine.

Please help me, as I need to study. These issues with the app are frustrating and damaging my brain, making it hard to focus.

* Install VirtualBox or Vmware Workstation on your F41 box. Both of these are free now.

* Create a Windows 10 virtual machine, with USB controller for the ST-LINK or whatever you have. Your school IT can help with this.

* In this virtual machine, install the ST software.

* Disable Windows updates for max. possible time (5 weeks) so it won't distract.

* Plug your board in, then route the USB device of ST-Link (or whatever)  to your VM and check it is visible there.

* Be happy.
