STM32CubeProgrammer v2.8.0 remains seriously broken.

When running with OpenJDK 11 (Azul JDK), 2.8.0 silently fails when programming STM32L471 targets via UART (a subsequent verify shows the failure). This is 100% reproducible. I've been reporting serious flash programming bugs for these targets for nearly a year (since 2.5.0) (ref. case 00135468 and see also STM32CubeProgrammer is not able to successfully connect to or flash an STM32L471. This is a long-standing problem. I have no problem flashing other STM32L parts such as L051 and I have no problem flashing the L471 using an STLinkv2.)

Are there plans to fix STM32CubeProgrammer? Is there an alternate solution?

Installer for MacOS version cannot start at all. Even some hack to start, there is error to copy JRE. And no way to start the programmer at all. This problem exists for more than half year.
