trouble connecting STLINK-Utility 4.6 to STM32F407G-DISC1

I upgraded STLINK-Utility under Windows 10 from 4.5 to 4.6. It doesn't connect to the DISCOVERY board STM32F407G-DISC1. In the settings it says: "Old ST-LINK firmware/ST-LINK already used". Everything else is greyed out.

Can I download version 4.5 still somewhere?

STLINK-Utility has been obsolete for years - STM32CubeProgrammer is the current tool.

STLINK-Utility has been obsolete for years - STM32CubeProgrammer is the current tool.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
