Unable to clear option bytes STM32F407 with STM32CubeProg 2.17

The new version 2.17 of STM32CubeProgrammer feels a bit glitchy.

It appears something is queuing or delaying messageboxes, such that a lot of messageboxes appear after it finally succeeds with something. Or it can start many operations in the background. Something is off.

 

But most importantly: it does not erase lock bits properly of the STM32F407

Eventually it does something. But throws a lot of messageboxes on the way.

Is this known?
