beeper on stm8s-discovery

I am using hyperterminal.com and stm8s_beep.c and when I go thru the hyperterminal toturn on th ebeeper at 2Khz I go nothing accross the piezo sounder.  I even look at itwith a scope and nothing.  What sould I see?
