Question
Can JTAG pin 19 VDD (out) be connected directly to SWIM VDD (sense) to power STM8 MCU's from ST-LINK /V2 when programming?
It has been weakly suggested in other threads, but I would appreciate a firm confirmation. Does anybody have first-hand experience doing this?
Is anything else required? For example connecting the grounds of the SWIM and JTAG? (Hard to guess the correct way to do it without seeing the schematic of the ST-LINK /V2!)
