Question

Cracks on chips surfaces and in between contacts and pads. Is it acceptable.

Per my QC observations, seeing multiple pieces across multiple lots with cracks on the bottom surface in between contacts and pads, as well as several samples with very rough marks on the contacts. Using the high powered scope, cracks were confirmed, as well as odd, textured metal contacts.

Please advise if this is due to design & material selection related.

Take picture, from scope to illistrate more, including the top marking view and contact your nearest ST sales office to reach QA people.
