Mute Mode at LIN communication

Hello together,

we use stm8af6246 for LIN communication with automatic header detection and mute mode (LIN Slave)

In LIN stack description it is said that:

“Mute Mode�? must be disabled for a LINSCI Slave node, when this is in Sleep State mode.

Why should mute mode be disabled in Sleep State ?
