STVD displays ''The parameter is incorrect''

Just received my STM8L-Discovery, installed STVD 4.2.1 and Raisonance compiler. Whenever I hit F7, STVD shows this non-descriptive message ''The parameter is incorrect''. After that, the only way to exit the application is to kill it in the Task Manager. I tried it on Win XP and Win 7 (32-bit) with same results.

Does anyone experienced a similar problem?

Please could you provide before application crash the following zip file by the menu:

Help\Generate Support File...

Check the path, type a file name, then press OK. After attach the file to a new forum message.

Also, what is the Raisonance version?

We have installed this version 4.2.1 on only 1 of our lab computers with the same result.

We also have the same issue now with STM8S-Dicovery board witch was ok before with V4.2.0.

Hello,

Please could you also provide the ''Support file'' and give us the Raisonance version.

In the meantime, please try to update your Raisonance compiler release. Some modifications of STVD have been done between 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 that are may be not compliant with old Raisonance releases.

Please check this point and come back to the forum if needed.

We don't use the Resonance compiler but the STAssmebler/Linker There is no sing of the Rsonance compiler in the support file.

You're posting a message on the topic ''The parameter is incorrect'' and said that you had the same error so I was thinking that you also got ''The parameter is incorrect'' message and used Raisonance too...

If your request refers to another problem, please detail the issue and give information on the error message...

OK, should i post a new message for each Tollset we use with STVD 4.2.1 since they all lead to the same issue. Sorry that I have not mentioned the toolset.

If we mix all problems with all solutions, I'm not sure this forum will be helpful for anyone. These are basics of support.

If you're complaining about initial error ''the parameter is incorrect'', you may have an issue with Raisonance and we're suggesting to solve it by updating your Raisonance version.
