Test SPI on STM8S value line discovery evaluation board

hi, I want to test the SPI function on the STM8S value line discovery evaluation board. I only have this EVB and some cables, LEDs. Is it possible to make some simple test of the SPI function, such as communicating between this EVB and PC without extra hardware. I have found many examples, but all of them need some extra hardware, such as LCD, MAX72XX LED array, etc. Is it possible to only use this EVB and PC? Thanks a lot.
