The content of the file that can be obtained with GET Software in is the extension OUT

I want to write "stsw-viennarect.out" to STNRG388A. Which software should I use?

Does the OUT extension need to be converted to a HEX extension?

    Welcome, @HKOBA.1, to the community!

The OUT file can be directly opened by STM32CubeProgrammer and flashed into the reference design STDES-VIENNARECT.

    thank you for your answer.

When I used STM32CubeProgrammer, I was able to open "stsw-viennarect.out".

    I just couldn't write.

The evaluation board of STNRG388A that I have is "STEVAL-ISA164V1".

    The writer I am using is "ST-LINK / V2".

The writing method of STEVAL-ISA164V1 is "SWIM".

The ST-LINK writing method of STM32CubeProgrammer was only "JTAG / SWD" and could not be written.

    Do you know any solution?

The STEVAL-ISA164V1 contains a USB-RS232 converter, does not require an external programmer such as ST-LINK/V2 and can instead be connected directly to your computer using USB.

The OUT file mentioned above is for a completely different board and therefore cannot be used with the STEVAL-ISA164V1. Please read and follow UM2203 uf you need to program your STEVAL-ISA164V1, e.g. with STST-STLUXDEV01.

    thank you for your answer.

I connected the PC and STEVAL-ISA164V1 directly via USB, but as shown in the attached photo, "Establishing connection with device failed" is displayed and I cannot connect. Can you tell what is the cause?

As the program name suggests, the STM32CubeProgrammer is for STM32 and not for STNRG388A.

    Did you read UM2203?

Thank you for answering many times last week.

Said "Configurable DC bus voltage control based on STNRG388A digital controller", so I thought that "stsw-viennarect.out" available from Get Software was a HEX file to write to "STNRG388A". However, it seems that it was a misunderstanding.

How do you plan to use "stsw-viennarect.out" in the first place?
