Hello All,My setup consists of the Bluetooth Nucleo-IDB05A2 module with a Nucleo-F303ZE board. The sensor demo app is running on the STM. I have written a C# app with 32feet.net library to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and the BlueNRG module doesn't show up. I used the ST app on my phone and the BlueNRG module shows up on it.Can somebody please advice.RegardsDhaksha

I am using the CMWX1ZZABZ in the ST The B-L072Z-LRWAN1 LoRa®/Sigfox™ Discovery kit with STM32CubeExpansion_SFOX_V1.1.0. The application being used is the Sgfx_ModemAT. I have successfully sent data to our Sigfox backend, I also see from the backend that when at downlink is requested it has been successfully acknowledged but I find the AT modem code times out (AT_RX_TIMEOUT).@Winfred LU​ How do I get someone to respond to this issue?

Hi.I'm going to use in a design the SiP below, which contains a BlueNRG-355VC MCU inside.I have found the datasheet titled "BlueNRG-LP", and I was reading about the features of the GPIOs.When used as inputs, they can have internally connected pull-down or pull-up resistors.When used as outputs, they can be configured as open-drain or push-pullMy question is about the GPIOs as inputs, are the GPIOs able to generate interrupts on logic level changes at the inputs? All them? No one? Or only a set of GPIOs can do this function? (if yes, I needed to know which of them are able). I did not found this information in the datasheet.Regards.

Hello,I am trying to make my first Bluetooth firmware to do a very simple function (Use Bluetooth app to turn an LED ON/OFF). My versions for everything is as follows:STM32CubeMX: 6.6.1X-CUBE-BLE1: 6.2.3My components are:NUCLEO-F401RENUCLEO-IDB05A2I want to create a base template to learn what the CubeMX handles for you and what I have to develop myself, but I am getting conflicting information. Please see the guide that I am using that is attached to this. In Section 6.1. "Use of Expansion Software without Sample Applications."They have this: It lists MX_BlueNRG_MS_Init() and MX_BlueNRG_MS_Process() as functions that can be generated. However, when I try to create my own project, they are not present in the list.  When I do select a device application (i.e. SensorDemo), the init and process function generation call do appear.Does anyone know why this would be?

Hi, CubeMX offers two software packs for BLE boards using BlueNRG chips as Bluetooth modules/slaves, one pack for BlueNRG-M and one for BlueNRG-2.However, I could not find one pack for BlueNRF-LP. There is, however, a module called X-CUBE-BLEMGR, but I'm not sure I understand the difference.Can I get some clarification on the purpose of this pack? Is this a new alternative to the ones I mentioned before? Or is it an additional layer of abstraction?

I bought from gilisymo a ToF sensor with integrated BLE based on SPBTLE-1S from ST. Right now the BLE is setted in beacon mode to save energy but i would like to pass to std BLE communication in a way to acquire the signal at fixed frequency. Unfortunately I am quite new on ST reprogramming, so i need some help with the code. Can I start from the examples on BlueNRG SDK? Thanks for help

There is no connection diagram for EP in the datasheet. We are using an LDO (Part Number: LT1121ACS8-5#PBF) to convert the supply voltage for the L9825 (+24V to +5V), and we are providing the L9825 with +5V as a power supply. LDOs have a common ground for +24v and +5v side. Should the EP be connected to the ground or the supply voltage?

Relating to STUSB4700 / 4710 datasheet I suggest the device address is the same as for 4700 with all adr pins set to 0.But no description in 4761 datasheet for I2C interface or register map.

Hi,We have a custom board with BlueNRG-2 and wants it to act as a co-processor so it can be controlled through SPI from another MCU (STM32L4R9).The BlueNRG-2 has been flashed with STSW-BNRG2N-V320 firmware through the bootloader interface.DIO0 SCKDIO2 MISODIO3 MOSIDIO11 CSDIO12 is pulled low to select SPITo keep things simple I want to verify that firmware is working as expected so I pull CS low and monitor whether DIO7 go high. This never happens.I have also tried calling the hci_reset function and monitor the SPI lines. SCK and MOSI provide the right output but MISO doesn't change. Prescale is used so output is below 1 Mbit/sDIO7 is pulled low to avoid bootloader activation and DIO3 is low to avoid firmware updater to activate.Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed?One thing that might be a problem is that the hardware design was first made based on the recommendations for BlueNRG-2 so DIO4, DIO5, DIO6, ADC1, ADC2 and DIO13 is floating. Hello, in the X-CUBE-BLE package this document STMicroelectronics.X-CUBE-BLE2_GettingStarted.pdf says the maximum SPI frequency could be 1Mbits/s . In high perf MCU running at SysClock >500 Mhz , is it possibe to interface BlueNRG2 with it?using Clock generator we are able to achieve the SPI speed < 1000 Kbits/s but i want to know the considerations which we need to take care as we are seeing some intermittent ble disconnection and some times no advertising.Regards,Darla

Hello?​As title, I ask if a replacement package for the ULPI interface IC is planned to be manufactured.​Currently, the ULPI IC produced by ST is only a BGA package, but this BGA is too small in size and requires special specifications in PCB manufacturing, causing cost increases.(0.5 mm grid : via size 0.1~0.15 mm, it is smaller than default PCB via size 0.3 mm)In addition, the design difficulty is high and there are problems such as jump lines that are impossible to debug due to the characteristics of the device.​For this reason, I would like to ask if there is any intention to develop a QFN or QFP package with the same function. If it is in progress, please let me know when it will be completed. It would be nice if the temperature range could be increased as well.​Thank you for reading.​

I am currently trying to understand why my "BlueNRG_Sleep" function doesn't work, from the main function where custom code should be, either while debugging or while using the battery with my BCN002 tile board. I use LEDs on before and after the sleep is called to verify the sleep is working as expected or not. (the LED should only be off while sleeping) I know that sleep can work on the board as when I load up the sleep example that works as coded and expected. However, i want the rest of the functionality that the "BLE_SensorDemo" project provides. Can someone please answer the following, I've been trying to figure this out for a while now.What needs to be turned off before sleep and turned on after sleep for the “BlueNRG_Sleep�? function to work?currently it just skips right through it every time like it is always being interrupted immediately.How does "BlueNRG_Sleep" know which vtimer to use?is it just the first vtimer to fire?currently i stop all the project specified vtimers befo

Hello,I would like to ask for an advice related to the timestamp registration:uint32_t timestamp_A = HAL_VTimerGetCurrentTime_sysT32();and after some time we check the elapsed time using:int32_t diff_ms = HAL_VTimerDiff_ms_sysT32(HAL_VTimerGetCurrentTime_sysT32(), timestamp_A);I am trying to detect and handle accordingly the case where sysT32 variable overflow occurs. I see that overflow occurs after about 1.5 hours.I checked some differences:0u - UINT32_MAX (returns 0)UINT32_MAX-0u (returns -1)HAL_VTimerDiff_ms_sysT32() suggests that uint32_t sysTime has some ranges other than uint32 size.Is there any mechanism to handle sysT32 variable overflow detection?Do I understand correctly that I should rather start new VTimer and detect the overflow inside VTimerTimeoutCallback()? And this way I can read the elapsed time before overflow with HAL_VTimerExpiry_sysT32()?Regards

Hello, I am using F401RE Nucleo + X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 + IKS01A2 and FunctionPack 4.2.1 .After dragging the _BL_v4.2.0 bin to the nucleo on resetting the board i am getting this : Error: hci_le_set_scan_response_data [ff]while on another board it is giving : aci_gap_update_adv_data OKWhat is the cause of this on the first nucleo board?Do i need to flash the module again?Regards,D

Hello,I recently purchased STM's BLE nucleo expansion board, which works without issue. I am reviewing the software to develop my understanding and had a question regarding the MAC address. They are typically a unique address to the specific chip that is used and that every manufactured piece had a different MAC address. However, for the sample code (SensorDemoBLE), I never had to put in the IDB05A2's BLE MAC address. It knew, which means that every IDB05A2 must have the same MAC address. Judging by this, is this assumption about the MAC address being unique wrong? In other words, if I ordered another Bluetooth BlueNRG-M0A chip, would it also have the same MAC address as the sample code?

RF-flasher Utility say it can program the MAC addresses to device by list file.I try to make a text file of MAC address sample list. (attached file) And set it for MAC addresses. But RF-flasher Utility occers error. (Set MAC Address)How to write and set a MAC address list file for RF-flasher Utility?

The trace thickness and gap in the datasheet for connection from S2-LP to BALF-SPI2-01D3 are given according to a special 4 layer stackup. What should this trace thickness and gap be on this connection 1mm thick 2-layer PCB? Dielectric constant = 4.3.
