I purchased a STEVAL-STWINKT1B development board and inside it has the STR485 chip for RS485 communication.I tried using the cube mx and configured it appropriately (see image 1 attached), enabled uart2, RS485 flowcontrol and then checked that the pins on the board schematic matched.Then this I simply tried to send the data on the uart to see if I could see the A and B signals coming off the chip with the oscilloscope change, but nothing seems to happen. this is the code i used to send the message on the UART: while (1) {  uint8_t *prova="0123456789";  HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, prova, 10, 100);  HAL_Delay(3000);  /* USER CODE END WHILE */  /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }how can I solve this problem?

Hi,I work on a project, the objective is to communicate nRF52840 with ( STEVAL-STMODLTE , puce with modem BG96  steval-stmodlte ) .the problem is that I don't receive the correct data from the modem .I attached a screenshot of the data received . and yesterday i did a test, i communicated with a direct FTDI cable on the tx, rx, gnd of the modem and PC using a tool QUALCOMM QCOM to send AT command and i received the same incorrect data .By info on the chip STEVAL-STMODLTE there is a usb port to send AT commands and it works well when you connect to the micro usb port, and also at the output of the chip i measure 3,3v and at the output of the modem BG96 i measure 1,8v because there is a shifter level in schematics  Link ( 8 . Schematic diagrams).Concerning the baudrate, when I connect in usb micro, I send the command AT : AT+IPR? it responds well 115200 .Thank you for your help , I'm stuck .Best regards,

We have an application where the STUSB4500 is used in conjunction with and STM32L4 family MCU, handling USB2.0 data. So the STUSB provides power (USBPD) and the DP DM lines are routed to the MCU. There is an issue specifically when using a macOS laptop (version 12.4) and connecting our device by using a USBC-to-USBC cable. The laptop correctly negotiates a power contract but does not appear as a device. I am pretty sure this is USBPD related since if I use a USBA-to-USBC cable it works fine.It's worth noting that this happens with both M1 and not-M1 MacBooks, while this issue does not manifest with linux and windows machine.

Hi! I'm working with spirit1 module. I'm monitoring internal registers reading them one time per second. After reset mc_state registers C0 and C1 contains values 0x02 and 0x07, what means READY state. I'm trying to put it now in RX mode with command 0x62. I get immediately registers C0 and C1 0x02 and 0x27, what means unknown error. This one error I'm steady getting whatever I do with RX or TX. I can't find nowhere, what this error means and what is wrong? May be radio module needs some special initialization after Reset? No sign of such topic. Might be very kind if in manual would be some c++ code for initialization like in MRF24 manual. Apropos, manual and datasheet are absolute terrible comparing with such of mrf24. So could someone help me?

I want to connect 7 LED's on one output in series, using a current of 20 mA. Each LED can have a forward voltage of 3V, which means 7 x 3 = 21 V. I want to use a power supply of 24V.I read in the specifications that the max Vo (Output Voltage) is rated 20V. But how do I interpret this? If I drive my LED's, each taking 3V, the voltage on the output pin will only be 24V - (7 x 3V) = 3V, which is far below the max rated Output Votage.With other words, powering my LED's with a 24 V power rail is not a problem?

We are trying to integrate the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip into the NRF52 for rapid prototyping.Trying to interface nrf52840 with the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip via UART. Connecting the RX and TX, and sending the "AT" command after the UART initializes, the modem does not respond.The question is, am I missing something on the connection side? ( TX , RX , Ground ) Between the MCU (nrf52) and the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip? i.e. apart from RX and TX if other pins also need to be connected?I'm sure I'm missing something simpler, we tried the same way using MCU(nrf52) with an STM32 and it worked fine.Could you help me please ? Hi all,We have solution based in a STM32G0B1 microcontroller which needs a very fast communication towards an SPI memory, for doing that, we think in using the dual spi read mode (DREAD), is possible to that whithin this micro? Or we have to go to another micro? Eventually the very approach could be the QuadSPI, but unfornately the STM32G0B1 has only 3 SPI, so our idea is to use the Double Read option (4 bits transfer mode or in this case eventually the 8 bit mode). Is this possible?Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am trying to use a custom OTA application to perform firmware updates. The code works (default Service manger OTA code from the DK) till the image size of the app uploaded is below the address 0x10057800. As soon as the firmware image exceeds this threshold, OTA does not work. I read it in the user manual that the image base needs to be fixed to a particular address, how can I do that? Also I want the image to boot from that particular new address. Please help.Thanks.

So I am trying to use BlueNRG-MS, SPBTLE-RF device on a custom board. To use this device i tried to use BLE cube expansion with SampleApp application. I am configuring SPI and GPIO pins correctly. Dear All,I am wondering what is the quickest way to start using STEVAL-IDS001V4M for some basic radio tests. Hi,I am developing firmware for an application where in I need to perform an OTA to a higher version (better performance version for instance) and this can keep on continuing, such that I can always update to a higher version from a previous version which was attained using OTA.Currently, I am able to update using the OTA service manager to a Hello world application. However, if I wish to update to another application with OTA services too, how can I do that? I tried following the same code of OTA service into the new application, but that did not work. I tried adding the preprocessor and linker options in the new application specified by ST in their OTA firmware upgrade PDF, but that prevents me from using OTA services & characteristics inside the user code (request callbacks etc.). Please help, many thanks!

Hello community,I got a project to do as my Master Thesis on Firmware upgrade over the air.I know how to write linker script, bootloader check free space and configure every peripheral etc. What attributes one look for when working with firmware upgrade over the air.This is the first IOT project and I have never worked with bluetooth or any wireless connection (like BLE Wifi, Lorawan etc). So I want your guidance and suggestions on how to build one. I know this is very generalized question, but I want to know how an embedded engineer think and what questions should I ask when building a system to accomplish the objective. For example (security, speed, etc) any inputs will be helping me. I find how to do one the internet but I don't know if any of it is serves real time large scale production. Hi,We are looking for 64-channel ultrasound solution for medical imaging. I found your proposal as in the block diagram, as well as the ICs, like STHV64SW and STHV1600. However, I need much more details in order to move forwards. Do you have the full specs for these two ICs, since what I could find by your website is very brief? The DSP28335 processor is used to communicate with the M41T94 real-time clock chip (RTC). The RTC uses SPI for communication. The basic configuration method is to write command + write time, then read command + read time, but the read time is basically unchanged. The year, month, date, and time information (8 bytes) sent by my oscilloscope decoding is shown in Figure 1 below. But when I read the data continuously, it reads all ff or 00, as shown in Figure 2 (channel 1 is sclk, channel 2 is mosi, channel 3 is miso, channel 4 is chip enable). I don't know if the problem occurs because the command is not written in or the hardware is the problem. The hardware is shown in Figure 3. Hope to get your help.
