I am finding that the BlueNRG-M2SA module's power on reset is very flaky when used with a coin cell battery. More often than not the board does not boot after the battery is inserted. You then have to wait for close to 2 minutes before trying again.The external RC reset is as per the module data sheet, 47K to Vcc and 10nF Gnd.The board hardware is exactly the same as used for the BlueNRG-1 based SPBTLE-1S module which did not have this issue at all. It was 100% solid.Could it be a firmware setting?Maybe the brown out setup?Or is it a hardware problem.This happens on a number of BlueNRG-M2SA boards so is not random.BJ

Using the SDK's BLE_Privacy project as a base, I changed the Master & Slave programs to function with the static random address stored in NVM by commenting out the aci_hal_write_config_data function that was setting a public address and changing the address type to a Resolvable Private Address (0x02) in the following functions:master.c aci_gap_start_general_connection_establish_procmaster.c aci_gap_create_connectionslave.c - aci_gap_set_undirected_connectableThis functioned as expected with no issues. Good day.I'm pretty new to BLE and I've a pretty hard time getting the hang of it.I'm using the Sensor Demo example, delivered with the X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1.I've now a custom board with the BlueNRG-M2 as a coprocessor with a STM32F030C8T6 (SPI).The electronic receives commands from an App via several characteristics and depending on the commands, uC will enable/disable a TRIAC and Relay. There are a 3 ADC Channels, which are polled and the values written to 3 characteristics. This works perfectly fine.I've issues reading values written by the App.From what I've gattered, the read should be doable with the following commands:aci_gatt_read_char_value(); or aci_gatt_read_using_char_uuid();But both of them only returns a BLE Status (And I get an Error of 0x47).How can I read the values? The programming guide mentions events. I'm having trouble with i2c communication. In my i2c bus, i have 4 boards (STM32L4 Sensortiles) and sometimes one of them blocks the bus and the others stop communicating consequently. When I reset that one that blocks the bus, all boards starting working again.In my debugs, this bug happened when HAL_I2C_GetState(&hi2c3) returns HAL_I2C_STATE_BUSY_RX, even my others i2c functions HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_IT and HAL_I2C_Slave_Transmit_IT returns HAL_OK:Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Hi, I'm trying to use STLINK-V3 MB1440B for BlueNRG2 debug. I'm connecting the SWD connector on STLINK to JTAG connector on BlueNRG development board. The BlueNRG-1_2 flasher shows "Waiting device to read ->" and stucks there when I tried to read the device memory. Pins I'm using are SWTDIO, SWTCLK, RESETN, GND, and VCC(3.3V). Is this correct way for SWD port to debug? Why BlueNRG flasher cannot detect my STLink?Thanks.

BLUENRG-M2SA is my processor.  I am starting a gpio toggle to test it out.  It compiles normally in Keil and Atollic.  It only appears to use Keil program even when attolic is the programmer.  The device will enter debug mode in Attollic how ever it is not taking the new code in Atollic. The other issue is it only runs the program with the STLINK plugged in.

i am able to read characteristic by using ACI_GATT_READ_CHARACTERISTIC_VAL, and update characteristic by using aci_gatt_update_char_value_ext(), the returned value is correct. howevever, the client's aci_gatt_notification_event() was not triggered.

Hello ST team,I need to create a TTL interface between two microcontrollers. One of them is supplied with 3V and the other one with 5V.The 3V microcontroller output can be configured with a pull-up or in open-drain.The 5V microcontroller has a 5V push-pull interface only.Would this IC be able to provide a bidirectional interface between them without damage?I'm particularily thinking of the case where the open drain from the 3V-µC is activated and the output of the 5V-µC is pulled to high state.Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello,I'm trying to run the examples for X-NUCLEO-IDW0M1 WiFi expansion board and they doesn't work. I'm using a nucleo F401RE which is supposed to be compatible with this expansion board. I just plug both boards and run the examples. Once the program is running I used the default SSID configuration (which I modified to be my own router configuration) and then the program gets stuck initializing the wifi module. Like the following picture:After waiting for a while it prints HAL_UARTx_Receive_IT Error a lots of times. I use the debug tool and it get stuck in the wifi_init()--> wifi_reset() and hung in this loop:while(IO_status_flag.WiFi_WIND_State.WiFiHWStarted != WIFI_TRUE){__NOP(); //nothing to do}Can anyone help me please? It is the second board that I used for this project because I think that the other one was no compatible, but I have the same error and I don't know what to do.Thank you.

 After inspection I realized that RCC_CFGR register is different when running in different modes (debug and normal). I fixed the issue by writing RCC -> CFGR = 0x1F040A. Now the register is the same but the problem still exists.another strange fact is that I have 6 boards, which are exactly the same (they are pcb printed and have the same components and I programmed the microcontrollers with the same code). The communication on one of the boards is OK but the rest of 5 boards have problemsI appreciate any comments in advance.

Hi I am using Bluenrg_m2 expansion board X_Nucleo_Bluenrg2 along with the controller Stm32l476rg. Reffered example is 'SampleApp' form X_cuble_BLE2_v1.0.0.I am trying to send 160 bytes of the fixed data over BLE frequently but after sending one packet of the data I am getting Hard_fault_error exception.I tried to increase the heap size and stack size as well.Also change the HCI_MAX_PAYLOAD_SIZE from 128 to 256 (not sure, this change is needed or not)Not able to get the hard fault issue, looking for the solution on this issue.

Hey There, Firstoff : i just started using the STM32 boards and my not know everything to expect me to..Ive got two STM32L432KC boards and two SX1261 MB2 LoRa.Shields.I want to implement a direct communication between them without any Gatewayas / LoraWAN.Iam looking for a simple libary with i can include to my CubeIDE c/c++ project.Everything i found looks way to complicated (at least i think that)..i read alot about that I-Cube Lora expansion pack, but i dont think this is what i need, right?Another thing i found is the sample code on Mbed.org for the SX1261 MB2BAS shield.is that Mbed code supposed to import to a CubeIDE project? i cant compile that because some headers are missing ....annother option is so "translate" a arduino libary into c/c++ ? i dont know if that makes sence or not ..(i used that one on a arduino (also with that SX1216Mb2BAS shield : https://github.com/StuartsProjects/SX12XX-LoRa) please tell me what you would focus on .. iam trying to not waste my time:)thank yo

I want to make a usb hid keyboard stm32. it possible in addition to the 6 keys that I transmit to add another byte in which to contain a variable that can be read by the application on the computer? I have upgraded the module and am now looking into what I have to update on the software. Effectively, I am upgrading from BLE 4.1 to BLE 5.0. USI Lora shield.Disappointed when I found out that the documentation wasn't that great.When using AT_Master or the End_Node example I dont find any options for retrieving the debug data.... Is the only option I have to spy on the TX/RX on the shield itself?Or is it possible to retrieve the debug messages that is already in the examples?BR,Sindre
