HI,I am using VL53L1 sensor for a custom project. I had some queries regarding the sensor,1) what is the integration time for the SPAD sensor?2) What is the max sampling rate of the SPAD sensor (ADC conversion)? What is the sampling frequency of the SPAD sensor?3) I see that u mention the sensor having I2C speed of 400khz to 1MHZ, when operating at low speed does that mean the sensor is being sampled at lower rate.4) I need to getSignal rate from each pixel, is that possible?. what is the maximum number of non overlapping pixel signal rate i can get ?5) Could u please suggest an alternate sensor with appropriate MCU board that is compatible and easy to program and has many resources. Thak you

Hello - We are using VL53L1X to range a relatively short distance - from 0 to ~400mm.  We have a fixed target, which only moves in and out toward the sensor.  We want to know this target's position accurately, and update it frequently.  We have the sensor in the short distance mode, we calibrate a position, and we think we have a fundamental understanding of how the sensor is seeing the target.  All seems to work fairly well.  BUT, every so often, in an unpredictable way, without any external or environmental stimulus (that we can tell), it seems as the sensor reports a 'blip', whereby it reads a different value and then recovers to an original value.  This happens in less than 1-5 to 2 seconds.  There may be cases where it does not recover, but we can see an event we trigger on movement of the target, and then an inverse event. We are letting the sensor range for DAYS or even WEEKS without stoping the ranging or reseting the sensor in any way. 

Hi All,currently, we are using the VL53L1 ToF-Sensor im some of our products, which will be replaced with the VL53L5- and L7 sensor. Unfortunately, there is no support of user-defined ROIs in the ULD.Since in our application, a full, square-shaped frame is not always needed, 8x2 and 8x4 modes would be useful to transmit less data as well as to  achieve a shorter on-time of the VCSEL or geht a higher acquisition rate.Is ST planning to add such functionalities in future version of the ULD?

Hi,I am using Vl53L1x for a custom application. When i block the sensor with a black tape, i see that the data from getdistance or get signal rate function drops (increases for signal rate functn) after 1 min drastically. For example on blocking the sensor using get distance function the data initially shows reading of500-600, then drops to 300 range values and after 40 sec it drops to 200 and then to 90-100 after 1 min. I would like to know the reason for such drop and is it possible to obtain consistent reading range. Thank u

HI,What is the definition of ranging frequency. Is it how fast it can make consecutive measurements?What is the highest ranging frequency (lowest inter measurement period) SPAD sensor that ur company provides?Thank u 

Hi,i am using ism330dhcx and lis2mdl on my custom board,i am able to configure and read data from accelero, gyro and magneto.i started the implementation of X-Cube-MEMS1 lib.when i compile the code, every thing is ok,but after running, when a function is called from the MEMS1 libraries, the code is blocked !i tried different example (fusion, magneto calibration, ecompas)i am usin the CM4 of stm32WL55. this core don't contain a hardware FPU. i tested with xxx_CM3_wc32_ot.a and xxx_CM4_wc32_ot.a files  here are the setting of my compiler :  it is blocked in the first call of any function from xxxxx_wc32_ot.a files any suggestion to resolve that ? Thank you,Sincerely.  

Hi everyone, I want to ask about the LIS12DH threshold calculation (attached with what I think the calculation is), it is clear that when I use 4g as the scale, my calculation results are 2.5g, when I move the sensor can go above this threshold and trigger an interrupt, I only configured the Z-axis, so I am just simulating a falling motion, but when I use 16g as the threshold, I can only configure the Z-axis. I need to adjust to 6, according to the same calculation method, 6*16/255=0.376g, this time I move in the same way, only barely trigger the motion, why? Is it related to the frequency I set? Because when adjusting the threshold, I also adjusted the frequency (100hz->4g, 25hz->16g), thank you very much for someone to answer for me! Oh, I almost forgot. I've turned on the high-pass filter

Hi, I am using Getsignalrate function inorder to obtain the photon count of VL53L1X sensor. Could somebody tell me what the frequency of the actual signal is, ignoring the I2C and UART communication speed. Or the signal that we get is completely dependent on the communication speed. I want my signal rate to be 1Mhz. Thank u

Hello,      on a custom board which mounts STM32F407 CPU with LSM6DSV16XTR accelerometer+gyroscope and LIS2MDLTR magnetometer I have to implement an inclinometer and a eCompass with the maximum accuracy. Now, it is not completely clear to me how to get the most accurate inclination an eCompass information since there are a lot of possibilities. Is the MotionFx the definitive solution or it is better to use MotionTL and MotionEc or maybe a combination of these? Moreover on a previous board based on the LSM303AGR I made a 6 points factory calibration, the correction matrix was evaluated off-line stored on flash and applied on each measurement. This increased the accuracy to the desired values.  According to documentation MotionTL has this feature (I don't know if the library performs the evaluation of the compensation matrix). Is the 6 point calibration available also with MotionFx in some way? Here the documentation focuses mainly on magnetometer calibration and

I am using STM32L496ZG nucleo board for interface MEMS MPL3115A2 Sensor using I2C interface . First i am scanning I2C device and find attached device too.But after scanning device whenever i tried to read Who am i register , i don't receive correct data and receive 0X00 instead of register value.Datasheet for breakout board -https://cdn-shop.adafruit.com/datasheets/1893_datasheet.pdfCode for Scanning device and read Who am i register using STM32Cubeide./*define--------------------------------------*//*Scan device----------------------------*//*Read who am i register--------------*/And this is settings to configure I2C in STM32cubMX.This Sensor breakout board is working with other controllers finely ,But not with this STM32 board .Please help me out from this . Is there any changes need to do in Hardware or in configuration?

Hi, I look on different application notes linked to the LPS27HHTW but I found nothing about its failure mode.I want to know what could be its failure mode and how will it react for eg on SPI communication (value at 0 or minimum or sea level pressure?) Thanks for your help     

HiI want to use VL53L1x board sensor for custom application. I wanted to use an external laser source of 940nm and block the onboard laser source. Are there any precautions to be taken for such case?I also wanted to know is it possible to access the raw data such as photon counts/ intensity, could u please show an example?Is it possible to interface this sensor with custom controller boards such as FPGA? 

Hi, I'm trying to create a 4x4 point cloud using a VL53L7CX-Sensor. I already got the x, y and z, but I am not sure if the values are right. Hi all.I'm using a TOF sensor VL53L0X to make a small short range probe. the TOF sensor is not suitable for direct exposure, so there will be a piece of lens to cover the TOF sensor. Now the problem is, in the low-temperature environment, the lens surface will appear fogging and icing, and once there is fogging and icing, the detected distance will be a big error, basically can not be used.I would like to ask the users, have you encountered similar problems and solutions?

Hello,we're considering to use ASM330LHB in the SIL2 functional safety application and we would like to use and take credit from ST's ASILB-LIBRARY. However ASILB-LIBRARY use-case as it's documented expects that two redundant senors will be employed. Hello, I have as project to use the STWINKT1B board and write my custom code to read IMP23ABSU sensor at its maximum capacity (80kHz). I understand the sensor output data is amplified by an op-amp and can be read with ADC input of the microcontroller, but what is the exact interface ? I don't really understand the schematics logic of the sensor (Why is there 2 ouputs: "MREF" and "M1P_FILT", why are 2 op-amps used)Could you please give me more details ?Then, is there some basic examples of how to read the sensor ? Hello,I am working on migrating from the LSM6DSO32 to the LSM6DSV32X for my application.  My primary interest in the newer part is the increased gyro range to 4000dps.  I am trying to keep the operation of the device similar to what I am using now.Some of the operating modes have changed and I have a couple of questions.The gyroscope no longer has a "Normal" mode.  Is "Low Power" mode the next best option to use?  If not, which is?The accelerometer no longer has "Ultra Low Power (ULP)" mode.  It appears the lowest power option available is LPM1.  Is this correct?  Also, throughout the datasheet, LPM1 is noted as "2 mean."  Can this be explained more?  Does this factor into the decision of what data rate I need to select (for example if I was using 12.5 Hz previously, would choosing 15 Hz yield the closest performance or would I have to choose double that to account for some sort of filtering?)

Hi, I have implemented the VL53L5CX driver for a Nordic controller, and it works fine. Now, I want to implement the VL53L7CX driver for the same Nordic controller. Can I use the VL53L5CX driver as is, or will I need to make changes? Additionally, are there any hardware modifications required, or can I use the same hardware as with the VL53L5CX?
