Hey,I have a custom made board/device which is using 4x VL53L4CD Tof Sensors to measure the distance. I have trouble to calibrate the sensors correctly or get correct values from them from time to time. Sometimes it works well - sometimes it does not.What I can see is, that for sensor where the distance is not accurate I am receiving the result status " Signal is below the defined threshold", as described in the datasheet.What exactly does that mean and how can I fix that? What is causing this issue?The signal threashold is set to 5000 and the sigma is set to be 10.I noticed when I am running the offset and xtalk calibration - this issue can disappear but it takes multiple calibration iterrations and sometimes it does not fix the problem. And as well: what exactly is a 17% reflective material!? (as mentioned in the datasheet to calibrate offset and xtalk)

Hi,I want to connect the microphone feature to my raspberry pi so that I can extract the data and put it in databases. Only when I connect my SensorTile.box (STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1) with my Raspberry pi 3 Model B+ I can see the standard features but not the microphone feature. I think signal delay library does not work on MEMS Studio.I made an example code to show temperature values from a nucleo-L476RG and x-nucleo-IKS01A3 setup.The code should show the actual value and a delayed one:But it gives the following error:This exact situation was replicated on AlgoBuilder software and worked without any issue. Any idea how could I work this out?Thanks in advance

Hi,I encountered a problem with a couple of LSM6DSOX employed over 2 years in a mobile Hydraulcs application where the came back to factory for inspection and we saw a significant drift of the offset of the accelerometer (>200mg).Looking at the ASM330LHHXG1 we saw that it is reported in the datasheet the additional information regarding the long term stability (instead of the typical values).I do not understand if the reported values indicate that a component MAY drift during its lifetime up to the reported values or if the values reported refer mainly to the raw data before a calibration step that we do during production. Also, given the absence of the max/min long-term reference in the LSM6 datasheet, would it be correct to assume they perform worse than the ASM330 during lifetime? Or instead are the ASM330 only guaranteed to not go outside max/min specification but on average they perform the same? This discussion is for now limited only to zero-g offset deviation

I've been trying to get my VL53L3CX to communicate with my ESP32-S3. I'm using esp-idf and ported https://github.com/stm32duino/VL53L3CX by rewriting the I2C and GPIO code for esp-idf. As far as I can tell, I'm successfully communicating with the VL53L3CX. Hi,I am using LIS2DW12 to detect walking situation of old man.Old man is walking slowly and little moving, In order to detect this small moving, what and how do I set CTRL register you recommend?I have to check continuous moving state....If LIS2DW12 is not suitable this acton, what do you recommend new chip? BRPaul 

Hi, I have been trying to get acceleration data from an Adafruit LSM6DSO32 with the STM32 Nucleo board F446RE via i2c. I used the STMems_Standard_C_drivers  (GitHub - STMicroelectronics/lsm6dso32-pid at 308cf0e4de0db190c453f3e211b0c40990f1f39b) in order to set the IMU properly. I also use the STM32CubeIDE app to programme the MCU. Despite many efforts, the Nucleo board is not able to recognise the IMU (I checked that a test buffer that prints whether the device is recognised using the whoami register (please refer to the 7z folder attached)), though I double checked the slave address of the components and the connections (please see attached image (IMG_0605.jpg). I am looking for the shortest library for the vl53lox. I am using the b-l475e-iot01a1 board and i just need some measures on the vl53lox.I look on github but there are just a lot of files so I would like to know if  a less heavy approach exist . Furthermore , I work on cube mx and cube ide. 

Hi Team, I have P-Nucleo-53L8A1 EVK. This board is connected to PC via micro USB cable. LD1 and LD3 LED's are ON and are red in color. I am trying to use VL53L8CX GUI , but its showing at About window as attached.     'Update ST-Link '  process tried. LD1 was blinking with Red when this process was happening. Hi, I ran into a weird issue initializing a VL53L8CX over SPI where the firmware was seemingly failing to load correctly (the firmware checksum was wrong, and trying to read back some of the firmware from the sensor showed that it didn't match the data that was written). I found that I could get it to work if I increased the SPI frequency from 0.5 MHz to 2 MHz, and the threshold between working and not working seemed to be at around 1.1 MHz. After experimenting a little more, I observed that it didn't seem to be the SPI frequency itself that matters, but rather the time that it takes to download the firmware - for example, it will fail if I add a 300 ms delay invl53l8cx_init() just after the comment "Download FW into VL53L8CX". It seems like the firmware download needs to finish within about 600-650 ms or it will fail. This isn't a problem when using the VL53L8CX with I2C - it works even with 100 kHz, which takes much, much longer than 600 ms. Can anyone confirm whether

When performing I2C communication from the MCPU on a board that independently implements VL53L8, there is no ACK from VL53L8 at the first address transmission, resulting in an error. If you check the LPn, SCL, and SDA signals, you can see the start condition, SCL and SDA at address 0x52 have clean waveforms, but at the 9th clock, confirm that SDA remains High and there is no ACK from VL53L8. Did. The voltage level of the above signals is 5V for LPn and 1.8V for SCL and SDA. Do you know why ACK is not returned from VL53L8? Is it possible for the I2C address of VL53L8CX to be other than 0x52?

Hello,I'm using the VL53L1CB sensor to detect objects from a long distance. Unfortunately, I can't always guarantee ideal working conditions. Sometimes, there are objects (structural elements) within the detection area that cannot be removed. Their presence causes 'noise'. Is it possible to perform some calibration that would cause all objects seen by the sensor during calibration to be ignored and considered as background?

Hello,I am trying to calculate the x,y,z coordinates of each points of the VL53L5CX sensor to determine the angle error between a surface and the plan of the sensor.I have two problem with my system :- the resulted error is not symmetrical with one rotation side or with the other,- and the resulted error is very depending on the material I chose.Here is a graphic of the mean angle error with 2 surfaces (wood and black metal) repeated with 3 differents VL53L5CX (I took 50 measures each 5° degrees).So I am wondering if my calculation of the coordinates x,y,z of each points of the VL53L5CX is right, and if I didn't forget some details. Hello everyone! It's my first time with the Sensortile.box, and I'm still not clear on how to connect via Bluetooth. Inside my Sensortile.box, I have the firmware STSW-MKBOXPRO V1.1.0, and from the ST BLE Sensor application, I'm able to see the box. In order to view the data from the PC, I downloaded the UniCLEO GUI and I'm trying to connect the box to the PC via Bluetooth, but unfortunately, without success :( Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? Hi all, I have been playing around with a SensorTile.Box PRO and have had success in uploading the premade "apps" provided in the app itself. However, when I create a custom app in Expert mode and try to upload it to the unit, the app crashes and the upload fails. What is causing this to happen and what can be done to stop this? Thank you!

 I use STM32F401RE nucleo board to detect tilt. I will use same MEMS sensor (ISM330DLC). Three. But I want to control that sensor in I2C1 Bus.  I know setting SA0 to distinguish SAD. it's only possible to two devices.  I need to control three devices. Help me! Thank you.
