I am trying to read the "Who am I" register of a LSM6DSO. I get no response on the MISO line. I suspect I am not configuring the IMU correctly. I am using a Nucleo-L031K6 connected to a MKI196V1. I attached the code. Am I missing something in the configuration for SPI? I have the data sheet but still resort to too much guessing. Am I missing a document or code resource? Any help or code examples is appreciated. Thanks, Doug

Hi ST-Community,According to the Datasheet of LSM6DSM, there is a Lowpass filter dependent on the Output data rate. The datasheet does not mention any cut off frequency for the gyro.I also need to know the Phase Shift/ Group Delay of the filter over frequency. Is it an IIR Filter or a FIR Filter and which order? Maybe someone can provide the transfer function?Currently I am running the LSM6DSM with 417Hz ODR.Thank You and best regards,Florian Reisberg

We are new to IMU LSM6DSO.We want to get Euler's angle form Accelerometer and Gyroscope Sensor Fusion.We are using STM32 Nucleo-L476RG board with Sparkfun LSM6DSO board in STM32CubeIDE.We have included STM3_MotionFX_Library in our project, but unable to find out function to get Euler's Angle from sensor fusion of Accelerometer and Gyroscpe data.Requesting to help us to get Euler's  Angle. Thanking in advanceManan 

Hello,I am trying to integrate the magnetic sensor data for the sensor_fusion_9x demo.  I am using the F401RE+1A3+LSM6DSO16IS and when I leave the jumpers as standard I get no mag and the demo runs.  I obviously get no mag data since the sensor hub is not being jumped in.  When I change jumpers the to allow the IMU to act as a sensor hub then the device can connect but there is no option to start and i get no data at all.  I did make sure to add the shub.ucf data to the demo.ucf so that I was initing the sensor and hub. At this point I dont know what I am doing wrong but the only thing i can think of is that the MCU software from algo builder cant find the sensors and it is blocking.  Any help would be great.

Hi, I have STEVAL-MKI185V1 adaptor. For reading the data, i use 3 commands(*setdbxxxvy, *start, *mrAA). and then i can read only '1' data. How do i read continuous data? what 'command' i use for reading continous data?

Hello, guys!Could you help us understand the issue with single data conversion for an internal temperature sensor of LIS2DW12? While experimenting we followed datasheet (DS11811 - Rev 8), Application Note AN5038 and single data conversion app note DT0102.When the device is powered up and single data conversion is started we never receive the first two measurement results. Hi,I have STEVAL-MKI185V1 adaptor. ST Microelectronics is already giving the software. But I would like to integrate the output from the motherboard through LabView. Can someone please tell me whether it is possible to use LabView as acquisition software for this motherboard instead of ST Microelectronics default software?

We are planning to use ASM330LHH at a distance of about 1m from the MCU to which it will interface for supplying the gyro data in an automotive application. SPI will run at around 1MHz. Can we interface directly through SPI, or should we integrate the sensor with anoother MCU and transmit the data to the main MCU over CAN? Are there any chances of data corruption over SPI due to EMI etc? Should we use any special wiring?

LSM6DSO occasionally indicates Accelerometer data is ready and Gyroscope data is not.  But, the odd thing is, if the Gyroscope data is read regardless of it's state of readiness, the Gyroscope values continue to change as expected.  Specifically, the Gyroscope data still looks good.It was expected that the Gyroscope data would be "frozen" or "all zeros" when the Gyroscope ready bit was zero.  It was not expected the Gyroscope data would still be changing and reflect what physically was happening to the Gyroscope sensor. Specifics:Chip: LSM6DSORegister: LSM6DSO_STATUS_REG (0x1EU)Bits:  XLDA (bit 0) & GDA (bit 1)

I would like to find out the if the following assumptions are correct. It offers 16 bit (65K) level resolution. The sensitivity in mV/g would about 3000/2g for the 2g range? That seems rather high because typically you see 500 mv/g values. Also I am not sure how the 26.6 K data rate translates into 6 KHz bandwith specified in the datasheet.

Hello,There are some abbreviations next to ODR: HP, HA, LP1, LP2, LP3, and NM. I believe HP stands for high performance, LP stands for low performance, and NM stands for normal mode. Hello!I have a working version of the chips with the marking on the surface "S4 052"Recently we've received a new batch of LSM6DSO(X) chips - they don't respons to ID requests via SPI. The marking on the surface of the new chips is "S4 148".What the second number (148) on the surface means? What can be the problem with SPI communication?Best regards!

 I am using the hts221 with i2c protocol for doing my calculation based on this reference:Application note for calculating relative humidity.   Observations:So I tried to read the respective registers and do the calculations as per the datasheet, with assigning s16(H_OUT,H0_TOUT,H1_TOUT) and u16(H0_rH_x2,H1_rH_x2) values and I got a negative value as relative humidity along with -ve values for H_OUT and H0_TOUT(Both of them were defined as s16 type).But when I switched everything to uint16, which is in contrast to the datasheet, I got a relative humidity of 36% which is ideal and real time value inside a home.I am wondering why  this strange behavior occurs and is there something, I am doing wrong over here? Al l am doing is reading the respective registers and assigning the values like this(eg: here H_OUT):uint16_t h_out_res=((uint16_t)hum_reading[1]<<8)|(uint16_t)hum_reading[0];  

Hi,In my project, I would like to connect multiple ILPS22QS pressure sensors (from 8 up to 256 units) to a single controller. I saw the dynamic addressing command supported by I3C ENTDAA. However, I also saw the provisional ID is not arbitrary. GETPID only returns 2 values depending on SDO pin.Therefore, I wonder if it is possible to use a single micro-controller to communicate with multiple (>2) ILPS22QS pressure sensors.Thank you,Jinhao

We are using the STEVAL-STWINBX1 at a CNC machine to gather vibration data. We are using the fp-sns-datalog2 HSDatalog Python framework to record the data over USB. Hello,As part of my master thesis, I am working with the onboard accelerometer of the STM32F411E discovery board. After day of effort I was able to find a code that would run without errors. It is one of the demonstration codes from f4 board master. I am trying to understand how to change the scale to the current values. I use LIS2MDL and LSM6DSO sensors (with MotionMC and MotionEC libraries) for getting true north direction. I tested this configuration on IKS01A3 board and it works. But on my custom board, I'm having trouble with getting true north direction. After calibration the resulting azimuth differs from the true one by 70-150 degrees. Tilting the sensor plane by 5 degrees or more in the X or Y axes also affects the observed azimuth. Could this be due to incorrect routing of my custom board? I'm concerned about I2C line vias. Could vias be a source of parasitic magnetic induction? Power is also routing under the LIS2MDL (pic2). Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
