Hello,I have developed a custom board based on the MB997E reference design, which uses the EMIF02-USB03F2 for USB EMI filtering and ESD protection. Since this component has been declared obsolete, I would like to know:What is the recommended replacement part from STMicroelectronics for EMIF02-USB03F2?If no direct replacement exists, what are the suggested alternative solutions (e.g., other ST EMI/ESD filter ICs, or combination of discrete ESD diodes and common-mode chokes) that can be used in new designs?Are there any application notes or migration guidelines provided for updating designs that currently rely on EMIF02-USB03F2?This information would help me update my design to ensure long-term availability and compliance.

I use STWD100NY Watchdog IC and for now, i can not achieve what i want. The problem is about to get output from the WDO pin. I did not connect the WDO to the MCU but i connect it to drive a relay. I set up my timer to 4 seconds. Even if it exceeds the twd time, i can not get the signal from WDO pin. I attach my drawings below and needs your help. My Vcc is 5V( most setups use 3.3v but i think that i can choose it 5V according to datasheet ). R25 and R26 resistors are optional.

Hi everyone,I am using STM32F103c8t6 module for transmitting and receiving data in between two SX1262 LoRa module. The libraries are found in https://github.com/Lora-net/sx126x_driver/tree/v2.3.2 link and i have successfully transmit and receive data using normal SPI communication but i want to transmit and receive the data using SPI DMA mode but i am unable to do that.If anyone know about this please guide me regarding this. Thank you in advance!!

Hi,We are currently looking for a power metering IC. We are thinking of using the STPM32 for this purpose.In our device we can only switch on and off the line to our load. The Neutral of the load is not passing through our device. It is connected to our same neutral though. So the only place we could place a current shunt is on the LINE and not in the NEUTRAL as in the evaluations schematics. Our STPM32 will have fully isolated power and communication lines. - So we are now mandatory to use a current transformer or rogowsky coil?- Are there any other ways of still measuring with a current shunt in line? - Because the circuit is fully isolated and there is no way to touch the circuit could we also refer to the LINE voltage instead of NEUTRAL?Best regards

Hey folks, I’m new to PCB design and I ran into something odd. I had a small board made for a project, but during testing some of the traces get warm and one even browned slightly. I thought I sized them correctly in KiCad, but maybe I messed up.Do PCBs have some kind of standard design rules for current handling? And how do you know what thickness or width to use for power vs signal traces? I keep hearing terms like silkscreen, ground plane, etc., but it’s still confusing to me. Any tips? @Member

Hello,I’m currently facing issues with Defuse 3.0.6 after migrating my system from Windows 7 to Windows 10.On Windows 7, everything worked smoothly. However, since the migration, the application has become unstable. Sometimes it works, but intermittently I receive timeout messages, and the process fails unexpectedly.I’m working with a firmware file of approximately 13 MB, which was handled without any problems before. Now, Defuse seems to struggle with it under Windows 10.Could you please advise if there are known compatibility issues with Windows 10 or if there are recommended settings or updates to improve stability?Thank you for your support.

I am working with the M41T83ZMY6F RTC (internal crystal version) in a project and I’ve encountered an unusual behavior: when I read the time via I²C, the RTC seems to count at exactly half the expected rate. For example, after one real second, the seconds register increments by 0.5 s equivalent (or appears to update only every 2 seconds).Interestingly, I have observed that on some boards the RTC works correctly, while on others it exhibits this half-speed behavior. What can cause this ? Thanks

I am working on establishing HART communication using an STM32H723ZG Nucleo board, a Maxim DS8500 HART modem, and a 2088 Pressure Transmitter (4–20 mA + HART). Hardware Setup: STM32H723ZG USART3 → Debug to PC (115200, 8N1, no parity) USART6 → Connected to DS8500 D_IN/D_OUT (1200 baud, 8 data bits, odd parity, 1 stop bit) GPIOs: PE0 → DS8500 RST (Active Low) PA0 → DS8500 RTS (Low=TX, High=RX) PB0 → DS8500 OCD (Input, carrier detect) DS8500 Connections (per Maxim datasheet and app note): MODE = High (for HART mode) 3.6864 MHz crystal connected between XTAL1/XTAL2 REF decoupled with 0.1 µF FSK_IN/OUT connected to the HART loop via the recommended RC filters Loop: 2088 transmitter powered (24 V, 4–20 mA loop). Background:I recently bought a STM32 blue pill and STLink V2 online. This is my first time using a STM board, I am quite familiar with arduino, esp and 8051(Proteus simulation). Problem:I have attached the 'error.png' file below it is a 'failed to start GDB server error' (for people who cannot for some reason see the file). I have done the following troubleshooting steps, which I found on chatgpt, youtube and this community:1) Check debugger configuration settings. (attached screenshots)2) Tried lowering the debug frequency from 'Auto'.3) Tried all reset behaviors: 'Connect under reset', 'Software reset' etc...4) Upgraded the stlink firmware5) Checked and found 'STM32 STlink' is showing up in the device manager6) Only have windows defender on my laptop, still I excluded entire 'STM32CubeIDE_1.19.0' folder.7) Re-did the wiring and everything seems correct.8) Rebooted everything twice and didn't work9) Tried clean the project, delete and remake the debug configuration file and compl

As per subject, is the ST LM311DT rail-to-rail? Farnell claims that it is, but that's the only place that says it is, I can't find a definitive statement in the datasheet.(I have used the TI LM311, and that is not rail-to-rail. I need to handle inputs close to Vcc.)Thanks!

I plan to design active speaker amps with TDA7269A (single ended), these use zobel R+C at the output for stability reasons as per datasheet. But I was thinking to maybe also include RL output inductor in series to the speaker after zobel as it is often common. Appliance is a regular home use. Datasheet do not mention this and so I wonder whether this would add or even subtract to/from stability, or be just completely unnecessary. AI had a good point that internal IC compensation could take this into account(no RL) and I could only worsen things by adding it, though I often read on internet that this is often just to appear more attractive and RL should be always added etc. I know for example that STA540 specifically mention and explain why even regular RC isnt needed but here I dont know. If someone especially from design department or someone who know for sure would be able to answer, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I used the settings and code below for a simple project: Blink an external DIP LED using the blue pill:In Pinout & Configuration:- PA5 => GPIO_Output- user label: LEDThe wire connections (like screenshot below):PA5 pin => Resistor => Long leg (anode) of LEDShort leg (cathode) => GND on Blue Pill  And finally code: while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin); HAL_Delay(500); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }But the LED doesn't turn on!What could be the reason? The .ioc file is also attached.

I am using ST3232CTR with stm32f446re . I want to attach LED with either pin 13, 14 or Pin 11 , 12 of ST3232CTR. Like FTDI , if we have serial communication it will blink. But I need recommendation of schematic diagram or how to attach.   Can anyone help me in this regard?
