my post is more formal than technical. Is it okay to use products that are based on GigaDevice microcontrollers? Is this company just competition, or does it violate ST patents and products with these chips should not be supported? What is ST's position on this matter?I mean for example budget 3D printers, or HAM radios and other devices based on GD32 MCUsConfirmed:Creality Ender 3 V3 KEQuansheng UV-K5YAESU FT-4XE(well-known and reputable brand!)Baofeng DM-1701personally, when designing professionally, I use ST systems, but I don't want to support dishonest practices by using ready-made equipment. Hi,    We try to use STPM34 to measure DC power besides measuring AC power. We had to disable the HPFs of V1,V2/C1,C2 on the EVALSTPM34 board by sending {0x00, 0x01, 0x18, 0x04, 0x88} and {0x02, 0x03, 0x18, 0x24, 0x92} to STPM34 through SPI. When we read Row 0 and Row 1 back, we have {0x04, 0x18, 0x00, 0xA0} and {0x24, 0x18, 0x00, 0xA0} respectively as expected.    Without inputting any voltage/current, we sent {0x30, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF} and {0xFF, 0xFf, 0xFF, 0xFF} to STPM34 through SPI to read ROW 24 (0x30) (Similarly to read ROW 25- 31 - 0x32 - 0x3E).    We expect the non-zero DC offsets read out according to your data sheets. However, all zero's were read out in each ROW. Could you explain why and advise us the problem and how to fix? We should read out the non-zero numbers.   Please see the read outputs below.  Other que

Hii, I was trying to run bldc motor using STEVAL-SPIN3202 evaluation board using 6-step method but i am unable to rotate the motor. Hi I am a new user, Can any please tell me which software do I need to use for STEVAl STRKT01? My aim is to transmit lora signal and received this signal on spectrum analyzer.

 When using the chip GIPS30C60-H, a 10k pull-up resistor is used to set SD/OD high and the CIN pin is directly grounded, but there is no three-phase output voltage when the correct pwm signal is input. The chip is used in a motor controller and has a 0-270V DC bus power supply and input signals supplied by the DSP. I would like to know the sufficient conditions for the chip to produce an output voltage as I have supplied the chip with the correct 15V supply voltage, the appropriate input signals and the SD/OD pin has been pulled up through a resistor which has been measured to be 2.48V and the CIN pin is at 0. However, it seems that my chip is not working correctly as there is no output voltage.

Hi, We are using 54AC164245 device for our onboard application. We have connected VDD1 as 5V and Vdd2 as 3.3V. As per datasheet the side A side max input voltage allowed is <=Vdd2. In the case when the device will be in disable condition (Isolation) and also direction of the device will be side B to side A (so the device A side is configured as output and the device is in isolation state), can 5V signal connected to side A cause any harm to the long term reliability of the device?

Hello, I am writing some code to turn on an LED on my board through the IOExpander (STMPE811) but am facing some issues. I am able to read and write to I2C, and have done the following:written 1 to 0x10 (GPIO_SET_PIN) (Writing 1 to this bit causes the corresponding GPIO to go to 1 state.) written 1 to 0x13 (GPIO_DIR) (Writing ‘0’ sets the corresponding GPIO to input state, and ‘1’ sets it to output state. All bits are ‘0’ on reset. ) written 1 to 0x10 (GPIO_SET_PIN) (Writing 1 to this bit causes the corresponding GPIO to go to 1 state. Writing 0 has no effect.) However, I am still unable to turn the LED on. Any advice is appreciated! Previous I2C EEPROM chips had (eg) 3 address pins A2..A0, where you could hardware the I2C address. This allowed up to 8 devices on the same I2C bus in case you need more storage capacity.With the M24M01E this is no longer the case : the device can have it's I2C address programmed in a special settings page, but no longer via the A2..A0 pins But how can I use more than 1 of these devices on an I2C bus ?Do I need to program the chips before soldering them onto the PCB ?

Hi,Why is there no RAM block inside the Block diagram?In the document AN5747 (Page EEPROM memory architecture) there is a RAM block mentioned, but in the block diagram from the M95P32 datasheet no RAM block is available/visible.Thanks in advancenobody

the chip of ST is different from traditional manufacturers that use circular dot or gap to distinguish the first pin of the IC. I cannot find the information in datasheet or the topics. Anyone can give me some information? thanks very much

Hi,Why is the page-write consuming less power then a page-program? When I understand it correctly then the page-write, is first erasing the page and then writes the values back. So then the page-write power consumption should be similar to erase and page-program. Is there any explanation for this behavior or is it just a fault in the datasheet M95P32 Rev 5?Thanks in advancenobody  

I am setting up SDLC communication using the Z85C30 chip. However, when I enable Tx and send data, it appears that the data is mixed with 7E. After the Tx is finished, I disable it. Is there a way to ensure that 7E appears only at the start and end?
