ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

Hello everyone!I'm working with the NFC08A1 board (ST25R3916) and trying to use it in NFC Reader mode. At the moment, I’m focused on writing and reading the chip’s registers via the SPI protocol.I've conducted several tests on the firmware side, but the registers are not being written correctly.Specifically, I’m sending the write frame as defined in chapter 4.3.3 of the ST25R3916 datasheet to write data to certain registers; however, the subsequent read operation fails.To verify the read functionality, I also tried reading the register at address 0x3F (IC Identity), but the operation doesn't work (the read value is always 0x00).I’ve tried both the Transmit + Receive function and the TransmitReceive function, but the result is the same—all registers return 0x00.I’m confident that the transmit frame is correct because I monitored it with an oscilloscope, and it matches the datasheet specifications. However, in the receive frame, I don’t see any data when the receive function starts.&nbsp

Specific situation is I can read by rfalNfcvPollerCollisionResolution NFC UID, but I continue to use NFCV UID read from or write to the card within the block of data, the return value for ERR_TIMEOUT err. HiI'm trying to communicate from a STM32WB5MMG via a ST25R3916B to a ISO14443-A tag.I use the X-CUBE-NFC6 RFAL library with ST25R3916B, RFAL_FEATURE_NFCA and RFAL_FEATURE_T2T set.Both ST25R self-tests fail:ST25R_SELFTEST returns RFAL_ERR_TIMEOUTST25R_SELFTEST_TIMER returns RFAL_ERR_SYSTEM (2nd)Without self-tests, I can read the tag, but writing fails with RFAL_ERR_INCOMPLETE_BYTE.Can you give me a hint?Thanks, Daniel

Hi I am developing a NFC reader design based on ST25R3916B chip. PCB design is in progress. Due to mechanical constraints, NFC antenna would not be in this PCB. So can you pls suggest suitable antenna part number with size more than 50mmX50mm and cable connector assembly part number to connect this antenna to reader PCB. I would like to use around 200mm cable length for connecting antenna to reader.

I'm working on a Flutter project where I need to enable a security session with an ST25DV04K NFC tag by using the Present Password command. However, when I send the command, I receive an unexpected response that suggests the command is failing. Specifically, the command I am sending is 02 b3 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 da 4e, and the response I get back is 01 02. Based on the ST25DV04K datasheet, I believe the 01 response code indicates an error, and 02 might represent a specific failure, but I can't pinpoint the exact issue. I am using 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 as the password for testing, and the CRC value da 4e was calculated based on the command, though I’m unsure if it's correct.I'm trying to determine whether the issue lies in the password, the CRC, or the command structure itself. Hello ALL.I am reading this from the ST25DV04KC datasheet:"During the internal write cycle, the device disconnects itself from the bus, and writes a copy of the data from itsinternal latches to the memory cells. The maximum I²C write time (tw) is shown in Table 251. I²C ACcharacteristics up to 85 °C and Table 252. I²C AC characteristics up to 125 °C, but the typical time is shorter."The value of I²C write time in Table 251 is ~5 ms.I wrote a test function, which writes a 16-byte array to the user memory and tries to read it back. I really see that if the delay between writing and reading is about 800 us, reading fails because I don't get ACK. It works if I write and read e.g. from two separate console commands.Are my observations right, and is it really necessary to wait for ~5ms or do ACK polling tests or do I have a bug in my code?Thanks.

I´m tying to load and example project for my nfc kit, which if formed by nucleo-G431RBT board with 25r3916B (nucleo-nfc08A1). Hello All, I am facing a problem with NFC reading with ST25DV64KC-DISCO board.To integrate the SDK, I have followed the instruction over here Even though I have imported all of the SDK files, and supporting files as well (including models, protocols and utilities).But this same code detects the tag in original project, but in my project it fails to type cast to original form.In specific, I get problem with following code in from "ST25DVMailboxManagementViewController"The following condition fails in my code, but succeeds in iOS NFCTap App.  if (!(st25SDKTag is ST25DVTag || st25SDKTag is ST25DVCTag)){}  Did anyone face something similar?Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

Steps Taken So Far1. Downloaded the X-CUBE-NFC6 expansion pack on the STM32CubeIDE (Have already set up the project for my dev board)2. Configured the pins under platform settings for the expansion pack. I presume that this is where I have gone wrong. I can provide further information as required. But one thing I had verified is that the SPI communication between the dev board and the expansion pack works. (Will attach my entire project under the post)3. Hello there,I would like to know where the NDEF middleware for X-NUCLEO NFC10 can be found.The X-CUBE NFC10 appears only to possess the RFAL middleware. 

How would i send apdu to multiple detected devices? I believe I should use the rfalIsoDepPollAHandleActivation() function with different DID values. I couldn't find much documentation on DID other than it's used to determine which device to activate and that it's a logical address, could you explain?

Hi all,I am working on the ST25R100 which I would like to be able to read  a NFC tag but also to be read by a Smartphone.Is it possible to do it simultaneously or at least alternatively by switching one mode to the other?If yes what could we switch modes in less than a second?Is there some example code which is doing this?Thank you,Sylvain

Hi there, I'm working on a project to dynamically write new URL record to the ST25DV dynamic tag. Record will keep getting update every few minutes. I would like to make sure that the chip can last for 5-10 years hence the question of write cycles limitI have seen similar post and come across this documentation https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group0/c9/d8/96/0e/14/f5/4e/41/DM00436563/files/DM00436563.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00436563.pdfThis seem to indicate a 1mil write cycles at 25C and 600k at 85C. My question is: Is every URL NDEF record write count as a cycle ? I'm only writing to a single area of the memory. Does this mean that once the write cycles limit is reach. All area of the memory will not work ?  Thank you for any info. 

Hello, I build a business card with the M24LR64E-RMN tag.When using NFC Tap application on Android everything works perfectly. I'm able to write and read the NFC tag.However, when using with iPhone 12 (IOS 17.7.1) - while reading a tag I'm getting the following fault. I'm not able to write NDEF commands and neither can I read the tag (When with Android everything works fine).Have any of you face similar issues?
