I have solved the problem, but I want to know the root cause so I can solve this perfectly.I use STM32C071FBP6. Because STM32CubeIDE won't generate classic CDC VCP anymore, I use STMicroelectronics/stm32c0-classic-coremw-apps: Provides a set of applications for STM32C0xx series based on the STM32 Classic Core Middleware libraries.The problem occurs on both Arduino Serial Monitor and python, but I will mainly use Arduino Serial Monitor here. The problem occurs if SYSCLK is 12Mhz while USB use HSIUSB48. Changing SYSCLK to HSIUSB48 solved the problem.The STM32C071, when configured as a USB CDC Virtual COM Port, exhibits a "ghosting" issue characterized by the device repeatedly transmitting old or zero-length data packets. This problem manifests randomly each time the USB device is enumerated (i.e., when connected to a host or after a software reset).If the STM32 is first boot (no last packet) TxPctSize is 608 until a packet is sent, after that, TxPctSize is equal to last packet

Hello, ST experts STM32F407 is used on our system. PE7 is configured as an EXTI pin for both rising and falling edge. How can I accurately  recognize which edge is the cause of this interrupt? Because there maybe a narrow glitch on PE7, so reading GPIO state on interrupt routine may not be a good way. Best RegardsYang

I was finishing a project that does the job of hi-speed polling from a SPI interfaced IMU chip, the frequency is about 5Khz, I know that this could be done by start a DMA transfer by software in the hardware update interrupt. But now I'm searching for a faster solution. Hi community @STTwo-32 ,I am using stm32f407vet6 board I am new to stm32 board.I wrote an Hello world program in STM32cubeide and i try to debug the code.I bought an ST-link v2 from online.when I try to debug the code it says frimware upgrade require.I upgrade the frimware in DFU mode then it shows this errorand I watched a youtube vedio where he use st-link utility software and he instructed to connect under reset mode and use full chip erase.But when i try to connect under reset mode it shows this error message i also tried stm32 cube programmer it says not connected on the top right and also target voltage 0.i also checked power connection and connection between st-link and my board.

Hello forum,I'm (still) working on a data acquisition system based on STM32H743XIH6 MCU, I'm pushing the 16bit ADC to the limits and I'm stuck on a corner.Let me summarize first the actual code:1) TIM1 trigger every 1us ADC1 acquisition2) ADC1 acquire 4 ch and move data via DMA to a ADCbuf[4] (4ch scan @1MSa/s)3) HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback is called (every 1us) when 2) is complete and does some calculations on ADCbuf[4]. (After 100k executions=4x100k samples a flag is risen triggering data output on the main loop).Long story short, It works flawlessly up to 960kHz, at 1MHz randomly the callback is called again before the previous call get completely served. As far I have understood the problem is that 3) is called with a 1MHz occurrance and, context saving\restore, demand too much time to get the system online without losing any samples. The solution I'm trying to follow is to relax this 1us callback timing this way:1) TIM1 trigger every 1us ADC1 acquisition 2) ADC1 a

The chip model we use is STM32L496VG. Our customer reported that the machine became unresponsive (bricked) and couldn't power on after an OTA upgrade. After receiving the machine, we used STM32 Programmer to read the flash, which prompted chip protection. When we read the option bytes (OB), all contents were found to have become 0xFF. We checked the code but found no section that writes to the OB, and we haven't been able to reproduce the issue. Currently, we want to know under what circumstances the OB would all become 0xFF and what possible causes there might be.

Hello,I am using the STM32H745I-DISCO board for my project, which requires both TouchGFX and CAN FD functionality. However, I am encountering an issue with the clock configuration.I need to synchronize the Nominal Baud Rate to 500 kbps and the Data Baud Rate to 2000 kbps.I configured the Nominal timing parameters as follows:Prescaler: 4Time Segment 1: 13Time Segment 2: 2SJW: 1According to my calculations, the resulting Nominal Baud Rate should be 500 kbps, but STM32CubeIDE shows the calculated rate as 1250 kbps.I suspect the issue lies in the Clock Configuration.Could this be related to the FDCAN clock source or prescaler settings?I would appreciate it if you could guide me on how to properly configure the clock settings for this use case.Also, if there are any official documents, reference manuals, or recommended resources that explain how to correctly set up the clock configuration for FDCAN and TouchGFX on the STM32H7 series, please let me know.Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi everyone,I’m working with an STM32L476 and need to parse its 96-bit Unique Device ID (UID).According to RM0351, the UID starts at address 0x1FFF 7590.Reading that region with STM32CubeProgrammer gives:• 0x1FFF 7590 : 0x004A0029• 0x1FFF 7594 : 0x58335011• 0x1FFF 7598 : 0x2031374BSo the full UID (high → low) is 0x2031374B 58335011 004A0029.According to this documentation, the lower 32 bits encode the X/Y coordinates of the die on the wafer, in BCD.That leaves two questions:Bit mappingWhich 16-bit half-word is X and which is Y?Is it X = bits [31:16] and Y = bits [15:0], or the other way around?BCD validityIf the field is pure BCD (8421), every nibble should be 0-9, yet the value 0x4A contains nibble A (10).Do recent STM32 parts still use BCD for these coordinates, or should those half-words be treated as plain unsigned integers?Any clarification or official reference would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!

I'm trying to learn how to use the LCD display on the STM32H745I-DISCO board.(I'm a beginner at coding, so please go easy on me!) Right now, I'm just trying to display basic text on the screen, but nothing shows up, it's either all white or all black depending on the settings in the ltdc.c file. I've tried different (and maybe even nonsense) functions to fix it, but nothing worked so far. I couldn’t find many resources, especially for the STM32H7 series, so I’m feeling a bit stuck. My goal for this project is to read data from the ADC and show it on the screen (like speed etc.), nothing too fancy. If you have any advice or guidance, I’d be very eager to hear it!

Hello everyone,I'm currently working with an STM32F746 microcontroller as an SPI slave using DMA for data reception.The SPI master sends fixed-size packets of 512 bytes, and everything works fine most of the time. However, occasionally, a few bytes (e.g., 4 bytes) seem to get lost during transmission or reception. After that, the SPI slave continues receiving data, but everything becomes misaligned by that number of lost bytes. This causes the following packets to be parsed incorrectly and fail CRC checks.I need a way to recover synchronization after such a misalignment — that is, to detect when a packet is no longer aligned to the expected 512-byte structure, and then find the correct boundary again so I can resume proper packet parsing.Has anyone encountered a similar issue? I’d appreciate it if you could share any ideas or solutions on how to resynchronize the SPI DMA stream after a data loss event.Thanks in advance and have a great day!

During the hardware development phase, we inadvertently omitted the external pull-up resistors on the I2C lines, specifically on PB6 (A5) and PB9 (A4), which are configured for I2C_SCL and I2C_SDA respectively.Our software team has informed us that there is no option to enable internal pull-up resistors for these specific pins through software configuration. I have designed a PCB that uses the STM32L433RCT6P which is the same processor used on the NUCLEO-L433RC-P board.However, I am not using the external SMPS on the PCB I have designed.I put up a post asking what I should do with the VDD12 pins if I dont use the external SMPS and was told to leave them floating (see https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32l433rct-vdd12-pins-what-should-i-do-with-them/td-p/817459) so assumed I could use this MCU without the external SMPS.My PCB is about to start production and now I am very concerned that the STM32L433RCT6P will not work without the external SMPS, is this true ? If so I need to cancel production asap so a quick answer would be greatly appreciated.My schematic is below for reference... If the STM32L433RCT6P can be used without the external SMPS, is there a setting somewhere to tell it to use the  internal LDO ?During the design I did change to the non-P version (STM32L433RCT6) but I wante

Hello,  I'm using a STM32L071KZT6 on a custom PCB and it was working fine, until after some programming iterations, it suddendly started drawing more current than expected. It reached 220mA to power with 3.3V. This happened twice, in two different mcu, and with the same version of the code, which is nothing too complex. Any idea why this might happen and how I can solve this?I already tried to erase the mcu flash, program with an empty code and configure all peripherals as analog, all suggestions that I've seen around foruns, but none of these worked.

The DBATTEN setting in the UCPD_CR register claims the following But as far as I know, the dead battery functionality is always present. It would have to be to work unless this is stored in NVM.Maybe this DBATTEN is some other Rd value? Maybe the ANAMODE is a proper Rd but this one is a sortof Rd light that is only sufficient to wake the MCU? I can't tell because no information is provided.If the MCU is powered there is not really a "dead" battery condition. If the MCU is not powered this setting can't take effect.Any ideas?

Hello, I am trying to implement an edge AI application on the B-U585I-IOT02A board alternating between active mode for inference and stop2 mode. I based the implementation on the PWR_LPMODE_RTC example for the U575 board, I have attached main.c below.I am using Power Profiler Kit II in source meter mode to measure energy consumption. I have disabled ST-LINK via the SWD MCU switch. I power the board with 3.3V using the 3V3 pin through PPKII. I left the jumper at 5V_USB_STLK and I am using the default values in PPKII. During measurements, I observe a current of approx. 100mA in active mode and 80mA (instead of a few μΑ) in stop2 mode.
