Any plans for 16bit DACs for the G4 range?

Hi there,

There are a few projects where having a 16bit DAC instead of a 12bit DAC would be extremely useful.

I am currently using the G4 series as analog synthesizer controllers and it would be fantastic to be able to use the 1MHz DAC as a 16bit audio output. I am using the 12bit DAC right now and it's actually surprisingly good when used carefully as an audio output, even when manually multiplexed externally. Having more precision here would be very useful.

Are there any such plans?

Thanks.

    Hello,

There is no plan at least for the near future to implement 16-bit DAC resolution on STM32.
So either to add an external DAC with a such resolution or use the 12-bit DAC as you already did.
