Battery charger SMBUS interface to STM32U031R8

Hi,

Can I interface SM Bus of battery charger chip to one of the I2C port of STM32U031R8? If yes, what care I need to take from hardware perspective?

As mentioned in the datasheet, the I2C on STM32U031 does not support the SMBus feature.
